This is a fantastic outdoor location with a stunning view of the harbor. That?s why I?m giving it a 2 star review. The food and... service were both terrible. My friend ordered a mojito - it took a while and it arrived without alcohol! My other friend orderedthe grilled haddock sandwich and could not even eat it because it was so poorly prepared. And my chicken sandwich was right offthe Sysco truck and poorly prepared. We were the only ones in the restaurant, so I know it wasn?t because they were so busy. My family and I vacationed in Boothbay Harbor this past week. We ate at Whales Tail 3 times because it was so good. They are... under new management this year, the restaurant was purchased by the same person who owns many of the restaurants in Boothbay. Wewent on opening night and there were some bumps but the staff was so friendly and the food was good so we came back, and it justkept getting better. Try the seared tuna, or the seafood pasta. We went there last night and it was mediocre at best. Their online menu does not match the menu in the restaurant, but many of... the things are similar, there?s just a lot more options online and the prices are old so it?s more expensive than you think.Service was friendly but inattentive. Our waiter told us that it was only the second night they?ve been open, so I guess newowners? They didn?t have everything available on the menu, maybe that?ll come with time? Food was decent, but didn?t exactlymatch the item listed on the menu and my fries had come from a bag of frozen ones, which is fine when you aren?t paying almost$20 for a sandwich and fries.
