We stopped in for lunch right as they opened. It appeared they weren\'t ready for guests yet and we felt a bit in the way and a... bother. The food was okay but it took a while to come out. This restaurant probably has one of the best views of the harbor. The place is really run down. The plates and glasses were... dirty. You could literally see the print of the previous guest lips on the glasses. We heard many other guests complaining aboutit. I don’t know if their dishwasher was broken or what was the problem. The forks, knives and the plates were dirty as well.Unfortunately seeing the dirty dishes took our appetite away. They had a few gluten-free dishes on the menu. The food was tastybut we were disgusted even after we wiped our forks and knives before we used them. Everything is really run down inside andoutside of the restaurant. The owner really needs to spend some money on it. We read it online that they just had the grandopening and it is a happening place. I have to say it was a false advertisement. Had to go back after a late night burger to see if all the food is that good, and it is! The salmon was perfect , wharf burger... was the best burger in the state ! If I knew the view from the deck was so good I would have been back sooner instead of some ofthe other places we went. Best food in town and the manager Eric was the nicest person we spoke to in the week we were there.Wish I wouldn\'t have wasted my money on other places that were no where near as good but they had a good view! First time in Maine . Found this place on Google after arriving late after 10pm. It was the only place open late. THANK YOU for... being open. The wharf burger was the best burger I have had in over 6 months. It was so juicy and flavorful. Cheesy goodness .Highly recommend it! Had the best dinner here that I have had in a long time. Excellent! Superb! I really can\'t express how great the food was and... the rest of the experience was great too. Waiter was attentive. The live music was nice and not too loud. The view of theharbor is excellent! All around great place for dinner. Read more
Terrible experience!! The bartender was taking multiple shots in clear view of everyone. Apparently this is appropriate behavior... for this place. She was shaking so much when pouring our drinks that I couldn\'t tell if it was drugs or the shots. Her eyeslooked completely out of it at one point. Some underage people probably got served also. We didn\'t see an ID check once eventhough some people looked clearly under 21. We visited another place locally and were told that the same girl was literally justfired for drinking on the job in the same week. Just WOW !! Irresponsible management and ownership to allow this to continue.The poor girl obviously needs help. Our drinks were heavily over poured so everyone else probably was as well. 100% liabilitywhen people are driving or boating. Even just walking around the water here presents a hazard. This is just unbelievable thatthis has to be pointed out. We plan on reporting this through the proper channels to avoid a potential disaster for anotherfamily. This is definitely one to avoid. This is the second time I have been there and still haven’t tried their food. Though tonight’s ordeal was the worst. We... arrived their early so we could get to the boat parade in time. Ordered just a taco and salad , 45 minutes later no update.Finally I asked and the waitress said our ticket got lost. Meanwhile we look over at folks who sat after us and what are theyeating A Taco . Right down to the warm water with no ice this plac by far my worst ever experience in Boothbay harbor. So manyother places to choose from neither I or my friends will return. Read more
