We came to the area for the Black Rodeo and wanted some good local food. The place wasn't packed and we were served relatively... fast. Our table had the fried crawfish tails and boudain balls as appetizers and they were good. For my entree I had the Rubythat included grilled red fish topped with a crab cake and hollandaise sauce. I chose Cajun rice as my side but the otherchoices are a stuff baked potato or fries. My meal was very flavorful. The portion were large and I had to get a takeout box. Ialso ordered a frozen Hurricane that was very good. The drink was big with adequate amount of alcohol. They serve Coca-Colaproducts and the meals come with hush puppies and garlic rolls with were good too. Everyone at my table were satisfied withtheir meals. Read more

Amazing Cajun food. The gumbo was one of the bests I have ever had. The server talked about the history of the store and the... fact that the same cooks are here for over 30 years. We could taste their decades of perfection in everything we tried. Portionsizes were awesome as well. Will be back again! Read more

Had a great Dinner at R&K's last night. In town visiting so was great to get to experience LA culture without having to go to... New Orleans. I had the Taste of Louisiana and the Chicken K-Jun Bleu and both were amazing. My in-laws loved their food aswell. My little kids loved the Gator nuggets and then had the chicken tenders and loved those as well. My wife had BlackenedChicken Premiavera and enjoyed it as well. Highly recommend this spot for families of all sizes and makeups. Read more

Older building but clean. We arrived at 5:30 mid-week. We were seated quickly. By the time we left an hour and a half later, the... tables were all full. The server, Shane, was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave recommendations. Our tea glass never gotempty and the food was hot when it was served. The catch of the day was blackened Red fish. It was very good. We will return. Read more

Long Island iced tea was great, gumbo was probably some of the best I?ve had. Hush puppies and bread were good, but cold. I... ordered steak and lobster tail, but they did not have any lobster so I got just the steak. Steak was ok flavor wise, but it wasa poor piece of meat with lots of fat. The baked potato Cajun still was good, but kinda small. Service was really good. Wouldrecommend this place and will go back and get the gumbo, but not the steak. Read more
