My wife and I attended a milestone birthday party held on the second floor. Service was pleasant, but seemed a bit overwhelmed... by the party of 20. I ordered gnocchi and my wife ordered eggplant parmigiana. Both dishes were well executed. It was loud inthe dining area making conversation sometimes difficult when competing with background music and a Bruins game up on the TV's. Read more
We needed to find a restaurant in the north end and came across this gem after finding all others were booked. The lasagna was... soft and tender, the carbonara was delicate and delicious with its home made pasta. We were thrilled to have had a greatdinner. Only comment to the business is the couches in the dining room make for an odd experience. Read more

In A Nutshell: -Assaggio is a very good Italian restaurant located in the North End of Boston. -Here you'll find comfort food... that is particularly from Positano, Italy. -The location is very small & intimate, which makes it a nice place to take adate. -The service is phenomenal along w/ the delicious food & wine. We went to celebrate our 8th Anniversary, From the host to the waitress everyone was very pleasant, the food was amazing from... eggplant appetizer, gnocchi pasta and stuffed veal chops is a must try. Food was mouth watering, highly recommend this place wewere seated on the main floor which was cozy, they have a lounge upstairs which we went and checked out later it was nice andthe ambience and the music was good too, we will check that next time. Hidden gem off the busy streets of the North End. Ended up here after most of the places on Hanover had nothing available for a... large party. Just happened to walk by and now this may be our new favorite Italian stop. The menu has something for everyone,the restaurant is beautiful and the appetizers are amazing and great for sharing. We came here after dinner in the North End to try their Espresso Martini, as we heard they had some of the best in Boston and we... were not disappointed! The chocolate powder around the inside of the rim was unique but so delicious and the martini itself wasvery smooth and rich. The upstairs bar area was very chic and intimate and had a fantastic vibe - would definitely come backagain! Read more
