Amazing dinner. Had the duck confit on special along with the steak tartare, each of which were delicious. Had the Absinthe... Minded to drink, which had a well balanced anise flavor. Would definitely revisit. Read more

Amazing ambience and service. Delightful starters (incl Foie gras). Kitchen must have gotten busy because the filet was overdone... and the duck was under. Disappointing as everything else was perfect Read more

Visited 1855 twice during our trip to North East and Boston. Really enjoyed this wine bar on Newbury street - great atmosphere,... big selection of wine and everything we ordered was really tasty. Our sommelier and server both times, Mathieu, was amazing! Ifyou happen to be at 1855 when Mathieu is in, you are lucky! Knowledgeable, respectful and extremely nice, he definitely know howto make your evening even better. And what can be better than a French place with a French sommelier with the most adorableaccent? Perfection! Read more

Amazing wine bar with a great selection. Wait staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic. I got the... escargots, which paired excellently with the wine proposed by the Sommelier. I'm excited to go back! Read more

Apps and drinks were good. Our waitress was amazing. The entrees…we both got steak and it was horrible. Zero flavor…the... French fries are like someone dropped a whole jar of pepper on it and that was it. It was really bad. I’m actually nauseasthinking of it now hours later. Not worth the price. Will not return. Great food, great service, and great wine. Our server recommended lovely French wines to pair with our varied appetizers and... meals. While my scallops were slightly over, they were not yet dry and the Brussels sprouts and prosciutto were a tastycontrast. Read more

Decided to check this restaurant out while walking through the street, I’m really glad we did. The staff were all very nice... and the food was delicious (I had the angus steak). Apparently the menu changes every day which means that you’ll never gettired of the food. The food is all organic and my mom had a very good risotto made with sunflower seeds, all vegan. Read more
