Pretty solid casual Mexican. We sat on the outdoor patio and had beer with some tacos and skillet nachos. Don?t come expecting... ?authentic? or very high-end either and you?ll have a good time. Read more

The food here was fine but overpriced. The reason I am giving a 1 star review is because the service was some of the worst I've... ever had. The waitress obviously did not want to be there. She did not answer questions, rolled her eyes, and walked awaybecause we took more than 1 second to say what we wanted to order. She also didn't check in on us. There are so many otherrestaurants around we likely won't be back to give this place another chance. Read more

This place is pretty solid. The inside and patio are nothing to write home about, but the food is bomb. That salsa verde is... out of this world, as are the nitro margs. Staff was friendly. Would have been 4 stars but majorly disappointed by treatmentof dairy allergy. Waiter said not a problem to substitute the queso / crema with chipotle aioli but was charged for theaioli despite having several items removed off each taco. Makes no sense. Read more

It was just ok. It?s a ?different take? on Mexican cuisine. You can?t just get a regular taco. We ordered 2 tacos each, corn,... chips w/salsa verde & guacamole . The shrimp was the best IMO. We also had 2 cocktails. Our bill was $76 before tip. Seemspricey for what they serve. There was trash underneath a table that we never even saw anyone sitting. And they have a sign thatsays set yourself. But we were asked to move from a 4 person table. Because we were only two. But the place literally had 10patrons the entire time we were there. ??????????? 3.5 star. Love you for having FOUR unique vegetarian tacos on the menu rather than the usual ambiguous "veggie taco". But the... only one that I liked was the yuca croquet taco. Unfortunately the others missed the mark for flavor and texture. Overall Ithink the tortillas are too big and moist which makes the taco a bit difficult to eat without falling apart. Imo the cauliflowertaco was bland and watery, brussels we're too chewy for such a delicate tortilla and the tofu should be sliced smaller sothere's more seasoning to plain tofu ratio. I give three stars bc I feel like they can do better with very little effort. Theyuca taco has wonderful texture and flavor- for me could use more spice. Will return to try some apps bc ( nachos and) I stillreally liked the vibe and potential. Read more

Casa Verde Taqueria in the Boston neighborhood of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts has a large outdoors seating area in the back of... the restaurant next to the parking lot. Parking is free in the back parking lot. One of my friends dines outside only duringthis health situation. There are large umbrellas on most of the tables and we got hit with the sun regardless, around 4pm. Weordered the Brussels sprouts taco, pescado taco, queso with carnitas and chips, and barbacoa quesadilla. Each dish wasdelicious and flavorful. The tacos were one per order and pricey. A carafe of water was placed on the table and the serverpoured our glasses from the carafe, leaving a small amount. When the carafe was empty, I went to a shop for several minutes. Icame back to the table and after a while, I asked a server for a refill of the carafe. Afterwards, my friend said she had askeda server to refill the carafe when I was away from the table. The service was good otherwise. What I like is that differentservers help out each table, not just one person. There is a HAF fee of 5% which I noticed when I got home and looked throughthe pictures. HAF is supposedly a kitchen fee and sales tax was applied to this fee as HAF was placed in the subtotal. Read more

Great local restaurant with excellent customer service - I've tried 3-4 of their cocktails and was happy with all of them. The... dark paradise is one of my favorites. Tacos are about $5-6 and drinks are about $12-15 so pretty standard pricing for the city, especially for JP. Beef barbacoa and yucca tacos are my go-tos, super flavorful and even better with their hot sauce. When theweather is nice, take advantage of the patio but you'll have a great time at the bar too! We were craving for this wonderful jumbo sized nachos. We got the three cheese nachos and the toppings were so great. The chips... and the pack was good for the price. Lovely cheese taste and the toppings. Only thing we didn't like was the bitternessaftertaste (like old oil or some chemical taste) Maybe it was burnt a little. Read more
