The location makes you wonder if you’re in the right spot and upon entering we sat at the bar and watched the place fill up.... Attentive staff, knowledgeable and friendly! I don’t drink but the staff was busy making many beautiful looking uniquecocktails! Started with the pita, tzatziki, bean and red pepper hummus! Great flavor and delicious! Ordered the steak tartarewith the truffle mousse on top- steak was finely chopped and delicate / very flavorful, with a hint of truffles. Main dish waslobster campanelle. The pasta is made with lobster and the chili gave the dish a slight spice. I would describe the flavor asbeing light - squid ink pasta was delicate, not too salty with a slight crunch from the olive bread crumb. I’d describe thefood, service and flavor as definitely solid - though it left me wanting just a bit more wow factor of flavor. Overall a greatexperience. 4.5 stars if I could Read more

Really a fantastic spot for dinner in Boston. Very nice, modern and comfy setting in the Design Center. Staff was excellent and... attentive, drinks were well made - and the food is best in class. We stuck with four small plates for two people - and we’revery pleased! Will be back! Read more

Chickadee might be the best restaurant I’ve been to in the Greater Boston area so far. I’ve wanted to visit this restaurant... for a while and finally pulled the trigger this past weekend. We made a reservation a week in advance, and the whole experiencewas mind-blowing. We started off with a bowl of plum gazpacho. Served in a form of a cold soup, the gazpacho was great forincreasing our appetite. The subsequent two appetizers were also fabulous. The hen of the woods mushroom had a meaty texture anda slightly smoky flavor that we loved. The soft heirloom tomatoes on a tart was also a great concept, and the light scent of thesummer truffle was a great pairing with the little gem lettuce on the side. While the main dishes weren’t as creative as theappetizers, they certainly had impeccable flavor profiles. Squid ink fusili was the clear standout as the olive bread crumbsreally amplified the subtle umami squid ink flavors. Since the fusili was a bit salty, the green garlic bigoli was a nice choiceto have as well. The crispy fried chicken was probably the most “normal” dish of our meal, but we still enjoyed every biteof it despite being full at the time. On paper, this place could simply be classified as a typical New American restaurant witha slight Mediterranean influence. However, the creativity and the combination of unique ingredients certainly make experiencehere extraordinary. I will definitely return to try more of their menus. Read more

My second visit after a year. We had some pleasant surprises and disappointments. They expanded the menu now includes four... entrees. We had the slow roasted duck, which was smokey and tender. It was significantly better than the fried chicken that wetried the first time. The appetizers, small plates, and pasta dishes were excellent. The squid ink fusili was a bit too salty. The big disappointment was the dessert menu. The strawberry tart was fine, except it tasted like something you could buy fromwhole foods, for half the price. The baked alaska that we tried the first time looked and tasted like an environmental disaster. No flames, and molted. Service was okay. Would not return unless they hire a new pastry chef. Read more

Wow! The food was delicious, creative, hearty, and elegantly presented. Everything was great, but the squid ink fusilli was the... clear standout: each bite contained a different combination of exciting and rich flavors. The service was also impeccable. Thewaitstaff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the kitchen made several on-the-fly adjustments to various dishes toaccommodate my girlfriend's allergy (we didn't even need to ask). We were blown away by the entire experience and can't wait toreturn! Read more

Delicious food met with even better service! We sat at the bar top and the bartender was very knowledgeable and attentive. He... recommended this drink (pictured, but cannot remember the name!) and it was unlike anything I’ve had in a good way! We triedthe dips/spreads with fresh pita, chickpea panisse fries, and crispy kale salad. Everything was so tasty and I can’t wait tocome back and try more. Read more

Delicious, creative, full of flavor, and picture perfect presentation. Five stars! The staff was so accommodating for a last... minute larger table and were fun to talk to and we three had a lovely evening. The clean plates speak for themselves. We lovedelicious food and this was beyond delicious! We will make the trip back from NYC to visit our friends at Chickadee. They arealso kid friendly offering a tasty menu for children without sacrificing flavor. Our daughter had the pasta and it was chef’skiss good! The strawberry dessert reminded me of the strawberry short cake bars from childhood but a billion times better andbursting with flavor. I can’t say enough good stuff about this place. Thank you! Thank you! ?? Read more

They did a really good job of balancing texture in every dish. The tuna crudo and steak were amazing. The flavors were rich and... balanced. The crema on the steak was incredible. And both the meat were fresh. The pork in the salad had a slightly strongtaste. The fried chicken was okay. Not really impressive. They certainly had good vibe. Service was fantastic. Good place tocelebrate or date. Read more
