Went here for dinner after the symphony to celebrate our anniversary. Our waiter highly recommended the duck dishes as they are... a specialty and fan favorite at this restaurant. For starters, my bf got the French onion soup and I got the lobster gnocchifricassee. For our main courses I got the spiced duck breast and he got the bolognese. In between courses we were given an amusebouchée of fresh apple gazpacho and mini desserts at the end. Every dish that came out was an explosion of flavors and not one detail was left out. Hands down the best meal of my life. From the fois gras to the duck breast, the food was simply divine. I couldn't stop smiling... throughout the entire meal since the food was just something else. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. I’d put it in league with places like Asta etc. Our maître d' made note of our... anniversary and was engaging and attentive without being overbearing, pairing perfect wines and champagne with our dishes,answering questions, and being mindful of our engagements after dinner so that our courses weren’t rushed but timely.Everything was cooked to perfection and the truffle dish was phenomenal. Our coats were checked the moment we walked in, and wewere treated royalty - everyone from the hostess to the chef made every effort to ensure our experience was one to remember.I’d highly recommend this establishment for anyone who enjoys a modern twist on French cuisine and passion for fine dining. I really like the environment of this restaurant. It felt very cozy and tables were spaced out so I didn’t feel crammed. We... ordered lobster gnocchi which was very delicious. For entrees we got NY strip and scallops. My steak was 10/10 it was sodelicious and filling, I wish I had room for more. The scallops were not bad I really liked the presentation of the plate, butthe steak was better. Overall, I had a great experience besides being charged $6 for the bread… which was unnecessary when thebread wasn’t anything special. 8/10 Read more
Service was absolutely excellent, from the valet to our waitress, everyone was personable and helpful. We were recommended the... spiced duck and it was delicious! Everything was well cooked and seasoned, honestly no complaints with the food at all. Onlyding is the price, I know it's a fancy place, and I'm sure this is more to do with labor/supply shortages than what theynormally price things at, but it was still a considerable amount even for a upscale restaurant. I think Season to Taste in Davisis still my favorite place overall in the greater Boston area, but Deuxave is a truly excellent place you cant go wrongwith. Also side note: we went for our anniversary and it was very sweet that after our dinner they brought out a little platewith "happy anniversary" written on it and some adorable cookies free of charge.
