Made the mistake of trying to visit the North End on a beautiful Fall Saturday evening in Oct. It was jam packed. All... restaurants had a long wait or required reservations. Stumbled on Libertine and as luck would have it there were two spots atthe bar despite a wait for a table. We had excellent service and food was very tasty. Not a big menu but the selections wereexcellent and food prepared well. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the wonderful bar tender. Read more

I heavily debated 5 stars. If 4.5 stars was an option, I would've picked that. The good: lobster ravioli was to die for. We got... a side of meatball and that was super tasty. Salmon risotto was cooked perfectly. Pistachio martini was delicious as were thebrussel sprouts. The average: pappardelle Bolognese lacked flavor. Espresso martini tasted like hot chocolate. We got mussels(white) that were ok. The bad: the mussels were meant to be an appetizer. They came out at the exact same time as all the food. The toast points that came with the mussels were charred to the point that 2 of the 4 were mostly black. The old fashioned wasterrible. Tasted like they used moonshine instead of bourbon. In closing: it was an overall pleasant experience the bad pointsaren't that big a deal but definitely prevented the 5 star review. Read more

If you want a delicious meal with a relaxing atmosphere this is the place. Both John and Arlene are so welcoming and... accommodating. I dined with one other person and from start to finish the service was top notch. Our waitress was attentive andthe food came out extremely quickly. The Chicken Milanese was amazing. All of the meals they went by is as we dined lookedbetter than the one before. If you are looking for great service and food I would highly recommend this restaurant. You will notbe disappointed! :) Read more

What a wonderful spot for dinner! Let me start by saying that we were from out of town visiting Boston for a family reunion.... After touring the city on the most hottest day ever, we wanted to have a meal altogether as this was some family member's lastnight in Boston. We obviously knew that it would be a challenge to find a restaurant that would seat our party of 27 people onsuch short notice. So after a few (not so friendly) phone calls to North End restos, we called Libertine and they were happy totake us. When we arrived we were greeted with such kind and friendly staff. The servers made us feel comfortable and were veryaccommodating to any questions we had. Even the owner Arlene made us feel super welcomed and treated us like we were part oftheir family. The menu looked so good that we ordered a bunch of everything! And everything came out fresh, in a timely mannerand delicious! So if you're looking for a place that has great food & drink, amazing staff & owners with a cool atmosphere, Ihighly recommend this place! To Arlene and everyone at Libertine, THANK YOU for your amazing hospitality! Read more

Let's start with the positives, the crème brùlèe was pretty good BUT almost no one in the group was able to finish their... meal. In multiple dishes, raw garlic was used. Overall the flavors were bland and left something to be desired. The glasswarewas dirty. The location is good but they definitely need to work on the menu. Read more

Great experience here! Our waiter was so friendly and helpful, and gave us the recommendation of the night - calamari.... Definitely the best calamari I've ever had and I would go again just to eat it. Octopus fritters were also amazing and Idefinitely recommend. I got the shrimp scampi risotto (I like seafood in case you haven't noticed) and the shrimp tasted sofresh and was perfectly cooked. My date had the chicken parm and it will definitely fill you up! It wasn't too busy so getting areservation is easy, but I can't wait for this place to get more popular! Will be recommending this place for anyone wantingItalian food and not knowing where to start in North End. Read more
