Amazing food. Lobster roll is huge yet light and fresh. Chowder and Bisque both fantastic, you'll want to swim in it.
Googled lobster roll during one-day visit to Boston, as it was my birthday and I love lobster rolls and have sampled them all... over New England, especially in Maine. Surprised that most reviews give Lobstah Roll a 4+. The clam chowder was good but foundtwo large clumps of flour in it. The lobster roll was all bread which was too sweet and lobster was very fresh but had notaste.The whole experience was a dry bun with a bit of lackluster lobster. No lettuce or extra sauce to help it be a goodlobster roll. Very nice, kind service. The Clam Shack in Kennebunkport leagues ahead of this in the lobster roll experience. Read more
We didn't expect to be in Boston and this was our first meal. Incredible dinner. We got the largest sandwich and split it: it... was like we each got a whole lobster on a bun! And the clam chowder was stunning: thick, creamy, and full of all the essentials!A definite winner! Read more
Better than expected. I’ve had Lobstah, I’ve had rolls, but let’s get serious hereh…I haven’t truly had Lobstah on a... roll until today. They even included my indecisive selection of mayo in case I wanted to experience it all. And did I?! What anexquisite profile of flavors from the simple tang of the roll to the sweet lobster and the salty butter. Smooth finish witheither buttah or mayo with every bite! Thanks for the happy memories! Because of Christmas, I came to Boston to spend the holidays. I had been to Boston before and, of course, had tried the clam... chowder several times before. In different restaurants, some elegant and some less fancy. But on this visit to the city I camedetermined to try the best clam chowder! And as I always say, thanks to people's comments I found this place! It is very small,it has two small tables outside and a couple of seats inside. Many people actually order their food to go. I wanted the fullexperience of eating a steaming and creamy clam chowder in a typical Bostonian place! WHAAAT ???? what a wonderful surprise Igot. It is the most delicious clam chowder in the world !!!! The girl who attended us is part of the family that owns thebusiness, she was very kind and told me that there are days when they have to prepare more soup because it's all over! I feel REALLY bad writing this, because the owner and cook were so, so friendly and nice. However, I really thought the lobster... was one of the plainest, most “meh” lobster rolls I’ve ever had. Don’t get me wrong - the fries are pretty good, thelobster meat is plenty for a lower price than most, and the restaurant has outdoor seating with cute lights. But the flavor ofthe lobster was completely lacking. I actually had to ask for salt on mine. The lobster tasted like rubber with 0 flavorwhatsoever. I was shocked because it looked so good! I’m not sure if they’ve changed ownership or recipe recently becausethe reviews used to be so good, but I would definitely not recommend this! Read more
Very delish lobster roll. The lobster meat was flavorful, and the bun was incredible. The clam chowder was a little less... flavorful than expected but I still enjoyed. Burger wasn't anything to write home about. Read more
