We had a reservation and still waited an additional 45 minutes. The restaurant is super small and definitely overbooked. I did... order the pasta in the cheese wheel and it was very wet. I did also order a steak and that was great. My sister ordered the fishshe said was the best she’s had yet. Apparently the chef didn’t make anything for desert so we had to go elsewhere forsomething sweet. No parking must walk! Read more

This is our second time dining at Nico's. We come to a trade show in Boston every 3 years and had such a wonderful meal the last... time that we wanted to come back again this year. And they did not disappoint at all. Everybody loved their dishes. It's a smallrestaurant but they really managed to fit large parties. From the hostess to the server to the bus boys, everyone was friendlyand accommodating. We will definitely be back! Read more

Have the best garoupa of all time. Compliments to the chef. Their famous meatball is delicious. The ambiance is small and they... only have one downstairs bathroom which is unisex. Annoying and gross if you're sitting downstairs in a small space seeingpeople wait in line for the bathroom. Read more

Nice place. It has its atmosphere. On the walls are a lot of photos of the owner with celebrities (I assume it is the owner of... the place). During the summer they open the windows and you feel this breeze from outside. The service was good. My friends andI came there for some appetizers and cocktails. Everything tasted great. My boyfriend and I ordered Burratta & Prosciutto andOctopus. They served Burratta & Prosciutto in a beautiful manner, prosciutto looked like roses. I will go there again to trytheir main course as well. So far I liked everything. Read more

If you are looking for somewhere fun with good service and great food on the North End, this is your place. To be honest, we... chose Nico this time simply to try the dish we enjoyed for dinner. We both ordered the Cacio e Pepe prepared tableside. At thesuggestion of the waiter we also ordered a meatball to go with it. Not only was the tableside preparation fun (see the attachedphoto), but it was really tasty as well. The fresh Parmesan and cracked pepper gave the spaghetti incredible flavor withoutbeing heavy. That’s where the meatball comes in. Next time we would skip the meatball and enjoy a lighter meal so we are readyto enjoy our pastries from Mike’s a little sooner. Since we were celebrating my wife’s birthday, we received an incrediblewhite chocolate mousse with a sparkler on it to celebrate. That was a nice touch! Here’s the deal: if you want to tryParmesan wheel pasta, or Cacio e Pepe, this is your spot. What a delightful evening! Read more

Stopped in for a pre-dinner drink with a friend before going next door for dinner. One of the best Manhattan’s I’ve had in a... long time. Great bar service with a really nice modern feel. The food looks pretty phenomenal and everyone was raving about themeatballs. Next time I’m in the North End, I’m going to try the food. I’d go here if you want that North End Italian food, but want a bit more of a modern vibe. Read more

We made early reservations for Nico Ristorante on Valentine's Day and braved the cold to find this great place in the historic... North End just across the street from the old North End Church and Paul Revere statue. On walking in, we were seated in theupstairs dining room, which was filled with tables and chairs. The vibe in this part of the eatery was fun and energetic with adiverse mix of people all around and conversations going between tables. We enjoyed the toasted bread with olive oil andbalsamic vinegar...classic with a nice topping of toasted Parmesan cheese that paired nicely with our Perone and moscato. For anappetizer we ordered the Prociutto with Burrata. The name was an undersell as this dish was beautifully executed in a olive oilbase chocked with lightly steamed grape tomatoes and garlic cloves. For the entree, I ordered the Vitello alla Parmigiana. Theveal was lightly breaded and paired with just enough sauce to keep the breading crunchy throughout. The veal itself was tenderand flavorful and paired with well with the fusili pasta which was tasty and the perfect vehicle for the light pasta sauce. Mycompanion ordered the Porcini Ravioli, which was the star of the evening. The truffle sauce was generous and full of flavor thatmixed magically with the soft, chewy pasta and tasty filling. Nico's service was friendly, attentive, and helpful at all points.I appreciated their chocolate covered strawberries and roses on Valentine's Day! I highly recommend Nico's! Read more

So 4 of us ordered and 2 people enjoyed their food….2 did not. The food wasn’t the best we’ve had in the North End - but... it wasn’t bad. Our waiter was very nice. We sat upstairs and it was pretty cramped…like most places. Some woman added abarstool where once shouldn’t go and nobody could get by and people kept bumping into our table. That is of no fault of therestaurant. Just referencing how it can be cramped at times. Read more
