I booked the reservation from seated. The idea was to get 20% back, which seemed like a win-win so that we could try the place... out and get a deal at the same time. When we got there, they explained the credit card machine wasn't working.. fine no bigdeal, but then they said that the could take a card, which was very confusing. At that point it was too late and we paid cash.The problem was that because the receipt was hand printed (not sure why), seated would not take it. It makes me think that wason purpose, but I have no proof for that. The food was okay. Swordfish was well cooked but lacked flavor. The menu could usesome love in general. It's sad because the location is great and the ambiance is really cool. Just needs a better menu. Read more
Great atmosphere 90 hip hop brunch!
The food and drinks were good but the service was slow. Our server didn’t write our orders down and she would forget what we... ordered and kept coming back to ask what we ordered. Also my husband and I ordered two salads and it took over a hour toreceive. It was not 12 minutes, we understand there was a comedy that we enjoyed. We ordered our food at 7:30 and it arrived at8:34. This restaurant/bar is wonderful. It's owned by a father and daughter duo, who are always friendly and extremely accommodating.... I tend to have some friends that can be difficult to deal with, but the owners always make sure that we are enjoying ourexperience and time there. The staff and other patrons always seem to be friendly and laughing and having a good time as well.It's a great alternative to the other Southie spots. Do yourself a favor and give it a try! Heard good things about this place from a friend so I brought my girlfriend for brunch. The inside is very comfortable and... showed off nice furniture and unique themed decor. We ordered drinks from an exciting list of cocktails, and I must say theadult iced coffee is a slam dunk. I would probably go back again just to have that or to try the other stuff. I normally don'twrite reviews, but since I ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits (my all-time favorite breakfast item) I felt obligated to givemy two cents. Maybe it's because I grew up in the Midwest, but I felt like this dish was done totally wrong. Although thesausage was tasty, the gravy it was in was very thin, and because of the fried eggs (which I had actually ordered scrambled)placed directly on top of the biscuits before the gravy, the biscuits could not soak up much delicious gravy. The biscuitsthemselves were somewhat light, and not like traditional buttermilk biscuits. I came in expecting thick biscuits swimming in aplate thick sausage gravy, so although it tasted ok I was very underwhelmed by this interpretation. So for that plussurprisingly slow service, I was let down. Had a few bites of french toast, however, which was tasty! Staff here is very rude and unwelcoming. Came in, waited at the door for over 15 minutes. No one was at the front to ask about... seating. Bar tender yelled to her server “check why those people are lurking” at which point the server told me I needed toleave because they were full. She told me I should have showed up much earlier it’s “trivia night”. I didn’t know, Ijust wanted to grab some drinks with my fiancé. I asked how long the wait was and she told me “no we’re full for the restof the night no one’s leaving it’s trivia night. next time you need to show up at least 2 hours early”…. No thanks.Won’t be coming back. Apparently I should have know before coming what “it’s trivia night” means. Read more
