Absolutely APPALLING service. (What a shame because the food was good.) Our experience: We made a reservation and showed up... early. They tell us that they are “setting up” so we wait, no problem. We notice that tables are being given to otherparties that are waiting while we wait. They continued to tell us they are “setting up” for more than 30 minutes past ourreservation time, until we are given a table. What’s the point of making a reservation if they can’t honor it? And if thereis a wait, why not just be honest and inform your customers? From the moment we were seated, the service felt cold, rushed, andoutright rude. We had to ask for the bread. When we asked for some more, we were greeted with a “oh you already finished?”in an unfriendly tone. Not sure what that was for and the comment left us confused. Overall, there was no effort to make us feelwelcome. Mistakes happen, and having to wait to be seated is not the end of the world, but it certainly got our dinner off onthe wrong foot. Not only was there not even a quick apology for this, the service after we were seated continued to be poor.When you are eating out, service can make or break the meal. In our case, it was the latter. From the reviews, looks like thisis not uncommon. When you choose to eat here, you are missing out on the other incredible restaurants that are in the NorthEnd. We were seated quickly and the quality of the food was excellent! Gnocchi was perfectly cooked! My only criticism is that the... bathroom was definitely in need of some repair but I think the rest of the experience more than made up for that. Read more
No reservation but was seated promptly on a Sat evening, I recommend making a reservation to be on the safe side. Fun... atmosphere, the staff from the servers to the guys bussing tables, were super friendly. The food was delightful, I tried acouple cocktails and they didn't disappoint. Definitely recommend if you're in the Northend area. Read more

I really loved this place! I had heard about "the amoré" which is a pasta dish that the put in a barrel of cheese. It was... incredible and also a very fun display. Pretty reasonable in price. The staff was very friendly and kind. I would definitelysuggest making a reservation if you are going on the weekend. Strega is a gem in little Italy in Boston! Read more

Where do I start? This is one of the most amazing Italian restaurant experience I have ever had. Their food is amazing, the... service is spotty on and the ambiance is terrific. The place does get noisy, so be prepared. The waiters are amazing and takegreat care of their customer's. This is a definite must visit when you are in Boston,and is a great excuse to travel there!
