The atmosphere was wonderful, service was great and the food was top notch. Usually Atlantic fish is my go to spot in Boston but... they didn't have any reservations for me so their loss. The Banks Fish House offered fresh seafood, well seasoned and served byfriendly & knowledgeable staff. Had the scallops, tuna the Banks way, and if anything the halibut was a little dry but that'sthe nature of the fish and not a reflection of the establishment. The clam bellies looked a little small and smothered in batterwhich I wasn't fond of. Others may like it. I've had massively juicy clam bellies but these are seasonal things, again nofault of the restaurant. It'd be nice to throw in a few more clams if they were seasonally smaller. Just imho. The dessert(sorbet) was exploding with fruit.. Lots of chunks and flavor. Pretty amazing. I'd suggest cleansing your palate as you movefrom one flavor to the next...the super sweet one may overpower the more subdued flavor like pear. One thing... The dover solemeuniere which I did not have... 78 bucks? Wow. I know it's an exquisite fish and usually on the more expensive side in frenchrestaurants but will have to do some research into why it's so pricy. It eclipses the most expensive steak here. ???? Will beback when I'm up in Boston again. Read more

A modern seafood restaurant with good appetizers and amazing entrées. Recently came in for dinner to quench our seafood... cravings. We started off with a dozen littleneck clams which were nice and fresh. For the appetizers, we got the fried calamari,Spanish octopus, and the scallop crudo. Topped on a thin crisp, the scallop crudos were excellent, and the calamari was solid.Despite its flattering presentation, it wasn't very flavorful. The stars of the meal were the entrées. My favorite was thecuttlefish ink pasta which had a good amount of acidity and creaminess that highlighted the flavor of the mussels. Swordfish wasalso amazing, and the combination of smoked beet purée, nectarine, and the swordfish was truly unique and impressive. Overall, the Banks is definitely one of the top choices in Boston for modern seafood fares, and I would highly recommend checking themout. Read more

Every portion of my meal was delicious! I had the soft shell crab, which came with gazpacho. I never had gazpacho before and it... was quite tasty. For my entree, I had the half chicken with risotto. It’s presentation was as beautiful as the taste. Finallythe crème brûlée, which was my absolute favorite. Read more

Good but not outstanding brunch. The salmon eggs benedict (comes with potatoes and salad) was good value for money given the... large serving size and it was tasty, but not anything special. Nice venue and ambiance - large and open, got a little busier by12:30pm but was never loud or overly crowded. The food service was a little slow but maybe because we arrived right at 11amopening. For deserts: “Crème brûlée” not acrème brûlée at all and tasted very salty. Fantastic service from Javier tonight! The octopus was succulent. The swordfish was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the composition... of every dish. The sweet sangria with a kick was very good! The Pinot Grigio bottle for $44 was really crisp and flavorful too.Visit here after a Sox game! Read more
