We had the most phenomenal, delicious, fantastic graduation dinner celebration at Oceanaire Seafood Room in Boston that I had to... write about my truly amazing experience. I do not write reviews often, but feel so grateful to Bailey, the manager, for beingover-and-beyond professional, attentive, thoughtful, patient and caring. She truly made it a fabulous dining experience for myfamily and special friends who joined us from overseas. I wanted to make sure this was a truly special dinner and Bailey helpedme create the menu for us and made everything just perfect. The food was outstanding- the glorious seafood (lobster, oysters,shrimp, king crab, etc.), steaks (NY Strip, tenderloin) and sides (truffle mashed potatoes, asparagus, 2 salads) were trulydelicious (note: I am very picky!), plentiful and the presentation was gorgeous. The ambiance was perfect - warm, elegant, butcomfortable and very inviting in our semi-private area. The service could not have been better- our server was always there toassist in any way and delivered our food exactly on time and as we wished. I cannot thank Bailey enough for all her help tomake this the best experience possible and I would highly recommend Oceanaire to anyone who wants a special dinner for theirfamily or friends. I really can’t fault this place for anything. Everything was perfect! From making the reservation to the service and food and... drinks. I especially enjoyed their flourless chocolate cake, it was scrumptious! The halibut was over charred, and the sauce onthe salty side, but still enjoyable. Read more
Beautiful restaurant in downtown Boston. Excellent service by all involved. Appetizers were delicious and good sized. The... appetizer crab cake was 90% crab meat and enough for my main course. The food was super underwhelming. No flavor to the steak or fish. The fish had a freezer burn taste. The lobster mac and cheese... was mediocre and did not come out hot. The best part was the truffle mashed potato. Everything else was meh. Read more
Every now and then, you deserve to treat yourself and the significant other a nice treat! This was a fine night for fine dining... in Boston! Setting was amazing and food was amazing! Phenomenal King Crab Legs. Phenomenal!! So delicious, so tasty. Great wait service. Fantastic ambiance. Only four stars because... it was my birthday. Apparently my boyfriend had asked them to sing Happy Birthday to me as a surprise. Apparently it neverhappened because we didn't order dessert. A prerequisite I guess, I don't know. No clue. He was just very annoyed that it neverhappened after his request. Read more
Greetings..My family and I enjoyed taking my sister to Oceanaire to celebrate her birthday. The service was impeccable and the... food was very well prepared,cooked and tasted delicious. The ambience was on point. Louie our server was verypleasant,hospitable and engaging. He made our family felt very welcome particularly knowing that it was our family's initialvisit to dine at the restaurant. The only other comment that I would like to mentioned is that it would have been nice if themanager would have came over to ask us how we were enjoying the great food and the great service. Read more
