This place is a great place to start your morning and even better to close out your day. The drinks are among the best I've had... in this city. Lots of options. Came in on a Saturday night for drinks and apps. Service was fine once it got started, but we did sit for about 10 minutes... without a greeting from the server. The calamari was good, and the chicken parm egg rolls really exceeded our expectation! Mygripe is the drinks; cocktails are $18 each which is pretty far right on the bell curve for Boston. I ordered 2 well drinks totry to reduce cost, and was charged the "signature cocktail" rate of $18. 3 drinks and 2 apps came out to $110, because theytack on 20% gratuity automatically. (I did not notice at the time, unfortunately) I feel fleeced by this place, and cannotbring myself to rate above 2 stars despite the positives. Read more
Food was equivalent to continental breakfast with a $15+ price tag. Bacon was as thin as you could possibly imagine. The... potatoes were flavorless, mushy, and seemed like they were cafeteria grade pre-cut ones. Would have rather saved the money andate the breakfast at my hotel. They automatically put 20% gratuity on the bill, which if it were a large party of 6+ (it wasjust the wife and I) or a high end dinner of $100+ a person, I'd understand. Michelle, Sheila, Maria were so great. Super professional and food was amazing! Sheila taught us how to eat the lobster the... boston way, Maria took care of us the whole time and Michelle served us some really great drinks. The best lobster I ever had!Definitely recommend!!! The food was really disappointing. My caprese sandwich was served on a hamburger bun, which did not work at all, and had very... little flavor in any of the ingredients.
