I took my grandparents out to Amaro Bistro to celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary. The waiter was so friendly and attentive... and we had a wonderful night. The gnocchi is light and fluffy and is paired with a sauce that is to die for! My sister got thecarbonara which was similarly delicious and not heavy like some carbonara dishes tend to be. We got a few apps to split while wewaited and they were very generous portions. The courses took awhile to come out, but a large party was sat right before us andthe ambience helped with the wait. They were also very accommodating for the wheelchair user in our party, moving tables toensure a very comfortable and accessible space for him. Great and modern space and nice seating outdoors when the weather is nice too. There are standby items I enjoy getting like the... gnocchi and beet salad and they have special items that change regularly which are very tasty too. I've been coming to Amaroevery month or so since 2015 and it's always a great experience. They have very tasty desserts too, but I'm generally too full. Read more
This is one of our go to places. They have several vegetarian options, the food is excellent, and the service is consistently... good. They also support and work with the local bakery in town for their bread. I will say I hate their dining area-- it'sloud, overwhelming, and tables are WAY too close together in my opinion, but the bar area is fantastic. Would recommend! Read more
First time here and we were very pleased. It's an inviting place with a fresh modern style. Chose a Ceasar Salad to start and... went with the Carbonara. Thoroughly enjoyed it! The housemade pancetta tied all the flavor together. Portion sizes wereenough that everyone in our group had take home boxes. Our server was attentive and friendly. Plates were cleared promptly andwater refilled often. They offer a large selection of wines and have a good offering of beers. What an amazing place ! Delicious Italian style food, great atmosphere & ambience & the service was excellent because of this... one guy there (he was at the bar, looking after all the tables, taking most of the orders - we thought he's the manager/ownerthere . Gave an extra star just because of him . Best dish of the night- The beetroot salad is a must have , it has goat cheeseon top - absolutely delicious . Next time I will ask them to toss the salad before serving as all the dressing is at bottom ofplate & plain arugula on top. The lamb with polenta was ok-ok , didn't even eat their carrots on side, lamb was well cookedneeded more spices or flavor, good meat though , polenta was gritty. Chicken cannelloni with red sauce was ok-ok, there was veryless chicken inside, & tons of cheese on top , i had to ask to add lots of pepper & basil on top . The asparagus (side) was notgood at all - yellow asparagus & not worth it,not crunchy almost burnt & dry . Another great item were the desserts- tiramisu &chocolate torte , you should definitely try these desserts. Melt in the mouth. You have to show your vaccination information in order to dine here. Our waiter Zach gave us excellent service. The calamari... was deliciouso. The dishes were a generous portion. The affogato was yummy. I would definitely dine here again. Read more
The food was tasty. The waitress was polite and friendly. Even on a busy Mother’s Day she checked in on us frequently and... service was quick. I think it’s a little expensive for what it is, but the restaurant has a nice (but louder than a candlelitdinner) ambience. The outdoor seating on the sidewalk looked romantic! Read more
We’ve wanted to go here for quite some time and are so glad we made it in a couple nights ago. We were extremely impressed... with the food and service staff. Staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and made our experience really great. The food wasspectacular as well. Arancini and calamari were great started to our meal, and finishing off with the pork chop and gnocchi werephenomenal. Everything was cooked perfectly. Also, don’t skip on the tiramisu.
