Ray brothers is by far the BEST BBQ ever? and then on top of that they have amazing side dishes! I could eat the dirty potato... salad everyday and never get sick of it. Also, I had them cater my wedding and they were beyond amazing people to work with.Jami is the sweetest and had a baby in the middle of my wedding planning and I would have never guessed because she was amazingat calling me to go over all of the details. Out of all of my wedding planning they did the BEST job from start to finish. Ialso am gluten free and I never got sick once with their food. They are just such a great business and I couldn?t have asked forbetter people & a better business to cater my wedding. Truly feeling blessed they were apart of it. ???? Read more

Pretty good barbeque spot. Great atmosphere, nice outdoor area and live music. The meat was good - ribs fell off the bone,... smoked chicken was tasty. Pulled chicken could have used more smoke. No brisket option, which I guess makes sense since they'regoing for the Carolina bbq style, but we're in NY so I was disappointed. Main complaint is about the sides. Beans were way toosweet - almost sickly. Maybe they accidentally doubled the sugar in the recipe today? Cornbread was also too sweet, and prettydry. Mac and cheese was a little bland and pretty basic. Carolina sauce was good. Other sauces were again way too sweet. Bombsauce would be great if they toned down the sugar. Read more

First time trying Ray brothers BBQ. We were in the area and decided to meet up with friends here. It was a great spot to meet... up since it was centrally located. Kids were able to play outside while we enjoyed a drink waiting for our table to be called. Outdoor area had a beautiful wood stage and looks like it would be a great spot to catch a show. All the food we ordered wasdelicious. We shared the pork nachos and a half rack of ribs. I was able to get a few locally brewed craft beer as well. Definitely would be back next time we are in the area. Read more

This was my first time here and I was disappointed. Everyone raves about Ray Brothers and I was hoping for more. I had a 2 meat... platter with chicken and meat loaf. The chicken was dry and the meat loaf was a lump of flavor less meat. My buddies felt thesame. Everything was meh. The best part of the meal was our two for one beers for happy hour. Our server Lindsay was great, though! I'll try it again sometime because every place has off days. Read more

Very good barbecue just 10 minutes outside of Colgate University and Hamilton New York. Can get very busy, we've been here a... couple of times before and been turned away as they do run out of food, so go early or go on a slow day. Not a fancy place, butgood bar atmosphere and family friendly dining room, with tons of outside tables during nice weather. Substantial selection ofbeers and ciders. Portions are large; with one frosty beverage each the bill was about $35 per person. We tried the brisket, thepulled pork and the barbecued meatloaf and all were top notch. For sides, the mac and cheese was the bomb, the potato salad andthe big beans were good too. Only thing we didn't love was the salad, which was just some romaine lettuce torn up and thrown inwith tomatoes and dressing. Definitely a top choice to eat when you are visiting Colgate and or Hamilton Read more

My wife and I drove the 35 minutes from Utica to check out Ray Bros BBQ. We arrived early on a busy Friday evening. We're glad... we did as both the inside and outside seating quickly filled up. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. The BBQ was worth thedrive. My ribs and pulled pork combo and my wife's half chicken were perfectly prepared and tasty. We found the hush puppyappetizer, made with corn meal and onion pieces, too heavy and peppery. Otherwise, the rest of our meal was excellent! We'll beback. Read more
