The food was disappointing and reminded me of cafeteria fare. I ordered Salvadoran shrimp ($20)--there were 5 small shrimp in a... bland red sauce with what seemed like rice from a box. The "slaw" was simply romaine lettuce and chopped tomatoes with a whitedressing. I left still hungry and wishing we had gone somewhere else on the hill. Read more

Ado's advertises itself as an Italian spot for brunch and dinner. When we got there I had to hunt down the host as we sat at the... front door for a while. The host ended up being our waiter and he had an injured leg and he was icing it while chatting with thebar patrons. Why not let this guy go home? So service wasn't really great. Never got a refill on our drinks and he never cameback to check on us--only, to of course, leave the 44$ bill for lunch. On to the food, I had the Ado Alfredo chicken pasta whichhonestly wasn't bad. The chicken was a thin fried breast and the chicken to noodle ratio was just right. I really liked theonions in the sauce. My partner had fettuccine with meatballs that came with a strange overly herbed creamy Rosa sauce.Additionally, it was way too sweet. I would say that this is an Italian fusion restaurant. I say that because there are pupusason the menu along with other traditional Central American dishes and the waiter asked if we wanted hot sauce or red chili flakesfor our pasta, not Parmesan cheese. Lol. If I'm ever in Boulder again and hungry for Italian food, I won't be coming back here. However if you're college kid then you might enjoy it. Read more

Nice environment. We got the impression that the chef could accommodate most requests, but it was apparent our waitress did not... know the menu well. The chicken marsala and risotto was terrific, though the mashed potatoes were mashed potatoes. Read more

The chicken Marsala was so delicious. And it was very special for the chef and owner to come out and check to see how I was... doing. TJ, the server/bartender extraordinaire, was also fantastic. Eat here for amazing food in Boulder! Read more
