super uncomfortable experience on 9/7 at around 7:30 pm I walked in and was given a very rude look by both of the employees and... one of them was rudely smirking at me as I was standing there for an excessive amount of time waiting to order. I stood therewaiting for 10 minutes and never got greeted or my order taken. I understand they were working on doordash/pick up orders but tonot be acknowledged and to be stared at while I was the only person there made it very clear that I was an inconvenience. Do not order online!!! They?ll make you wait over 20 minutes. I arrived right on time to get my order, no one was in line... waiting, and no one was making salads. They told me it would be right out. In the time it took them to make my salad, 5customers came in and ordered their salads. I would have saved 20 minutes if I would have just come in to the place vs orderingonline. The avocado in my salad was so hard and still had some skin attached to it, what kind of quality standards are they doing now?... It's disgusting. I didn't even finish eating it. MAD Greens offers a consistent experience. I have been coming to the 29th St. Mall location of MAD Greens in Boulder since they... first opened. I certainly miss the good old days of a six or seven dollar salad. Price increases are a part of the world asbusinesses grow, get recognized for providing good product, and scale even more beyond that. However, MAD still makes very tastyand healthy salad options. I still return on occasion because I know I will be satisfied with the quality of my food and theservice. The employees are always friendly and generous. I have not had an experience yet where I have received subpar food.They do not serve wilted greens or bad veggies and toppings. In fact it is the opposite. Everything is always fresh. As I saidin the headline the experience is consistent. Once past the $10 price point for a regular salad, it is easy to recognize theserving is a generous portion. It's usually just enough or slightly more than enough to make a meal of it. The $10 also includesa choice of protein. It will run customers $2 more for the large size and, as far as the employees have told me, the upsize onlyincludes more greens. The standard is to not increase the portion size of toppings or proteins. On this week's visit I orderedmy current favorite menu selection, the Siam I Am. It is a mixture of warm quinoa, kale, carrots, edamame, peanuts, and gingersoy dressing. I chose the grilled chicken instead of the blackened, but either goes very well with the Siam. I also opted forlight dressing as opposed to my usual order of "between light and medium." The quinoa seems to soak up much of the dressing. Itwas a perfect five star salad with the lighter dressing portion. I finished the entire bowl. My wife ordered the southwestchicken rice bowl.
