I wish the food was hottt and melts ???? But it was okay first BBQ experience.
I think I am pretty good when it comes to resisting temptation. Except when the temptation happens to be BBQ, then all bets are... off. Temptation whispered its siren song of seduction into my ears the other day (or should I say nostrils), when I happened todrive by Moe's Original BBQ in Williams Square on 30th and Baseline in Boulder. I told the young man behind the counter of mytemptation dilemma and he told me that he could help me out. Not to avoid it, but offered me some suggestions as to how I couldsatiate it. So, I had the brisket sandwich, potato salad, and their slaw. It came out in short order and was absolutelydelicious. The brisket was smoked to perfection, the potato salad was the best I have ever tasted, and the slaw was a bit tangy,but not overdone. I also was tempted by their pulled pork and smoked chicken platters (yes, I came back, because... BBQ), andthough I tried, I was led rather willingly down the road to BBQ perdition. The staff was very helpful in giving me theirrecommendations as to what they liked on the menu which helped me make up my mind, and it was their courteous demeanor thatassured my repeat business. Yes, the food is delicious. But the attitude of the employees are what make or break your business,the the staff of Moe's was one of the main reasons they will continue to get my business. So if you are ever in the mood forsome seriously good BBQ, then Moe's Original BBQ in Williams Square on 30th and Baseline in Boulder should be the first placeyou stop. They do BBQ right. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, great food!
I ordered some sandwiches with sauce on the side because I live 20 minutes away. The cook came out and told me the bartender... said I didn?t order my food correctly and that I was in the wrong. I told her I would buy new sandwiches and leave the firstones there for someone to eat. She said she didn?t like shrimp and that I could only have one new sandwich. I told the bartenderI was happy to pay triple the amount, I just wanted the sandwiches the way I had ordered them. He told me she was making themand that he was getting annoyed with the whole situation. I just took the original order and left. I still can?t believe what Iheard in there. I really loved Moes. Wow. Awesome service! Cheryl was so sweet and recommended the collard greens which I loved and obviously the jumbo which was some of... the best I?ve ever had. The pulled pork sandwich Alabama style was very unique and had a vinegary taste to it. If you?re lookingfor something different and a change of pace from your typical barbecue this place is awesome! Guys and Gals, if you want savory, juicy, perfect BBQ in Boulder look know further. Moe's had it going on! Great portions, clean... facilities, great meats. And the cornbread was a perfect golden brown, not too crumbly, not too crunchy. The atmosphere wasgreat as well. Don't pass it up. Read more
Moe?s is one of the few BBQ places open on Sunday here in Boulder. The place has a fun smoke house feel and the staff made the... trip fun. I love to watch football with an ice cold beer and Moe?s fits that model great. Upslope on tap and good food made it afine time. Read more
