Amazing!!!! Wish I had enough stomach space to also try desert. Will definitely be back next Torrey, Boulder trip. ? Service was very friendly, there was even a friendly farm cat on the grounds. Our meal was creative and fresh, everything was balanced.
Lovely place and delicious food! The jenchiladas were YUMMY, with pumpkin are a good mix of a little spice and sweet. The braised beef was also perfect. The dark magic gingerbread mix with caramel sauce is 100% and you can buy the mix to make at home! Nick was a lovely human and provided exceptional, personalized customer service. I will be back!
We were given a recommendation to give this place a shot. A little surprised it is only open for dinner which meant we had to come back after 4 pm. So glad we did. It was delicious. I had the pappardelle and my partner had the trout. Absolutely delicious. For dessert we enjoyed the gingerbread, at the waiters suggestion, and it was amazing.
Fantastic culinary experience. Drove all the way down from SLC for dinner and can?t wait to return! Check out my photos for good examples, but this place excels many big city restaurants! Loved the asparagus soup, biscuits, trout and gingerbread dessert! Overall, worth every penny!!!
We drove about 4 hours out of our way for our second visit to Hell's Backbone Grill. Then we waited two and a half hours to be seated. And it was totally worth it. Everything was amazing, from the salad to the dessert. We can't wait to go back again.
Good food, but what we got really didn't match what was on the menu. The 5 lamb meatball dish only had 4 meatballs. The macaroni was penne instead. Their green chilis that excited us on the menu might be a single tiny sliver on the plate. I really wanted to give this place a higher rating. But they need to deliver what the customer expects when ordering.
Talk about an oasis in the middle of a desert. If you are driving between Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef, you should stop here. Everything was amazingly fresh and tasted great. The bison was perfectly cooked and their spice rub was so good that we bought some from their little market that's set up next to the host station. Shylee was our server and she did a tremendous job, including wrapping up a tea mug that we fell in love with while dining. We were given lap blankets because it was a colder day, and the entire wait staff was so, so friendly. This restaurant was absolutely worth planning part of our road trip around, and I'd recommend it to anyone that is doing the mighty 5.
Visited in October and had an amazing time. The food and drinks were delicious. Being able to dine here twice was the highlight to a very short, but fun camping trip. Their smoked chimayo chicken lollipops make for a great starter. The pappardelle was phenomenal, definitely a must try. If you?re a fan of heat, ask for the she-devil sauce, it?s flavorful and spicy. Their dark magic pear gingerbread cake is a must. It?s the most deliciously lush cake I?ve ever had. Without a doubt, I would come back again.
