Not a whole lot of negatives that can be said about this place. The food was definitely traditional Northwoods fare, the bar was... well stocked and they even carried one of my favorite drinks! My only gripe was the lukewarm soup had excellent flavor, justwasn't hot! Otherwise a decent stop in the Northwoods!! Read more

Fantastic experience! The service was great and food so delicious! The parmesan encrusted Grouper was melt-in-your-mouth good!... Ribeye could be cut with a flippin' fork! After an exhaustive search one Memorial Day weekend to try and find a place to eat Saturday night in the Northwoods I made a... last ditch call to Headwaters because it was a good 35 minute drive for us. I had visited there often during snowmobile season,but never in the Spring/Summer/Fall months. Well let me tell you the experience was top notch. Our waiter was the mostpleasant and helpful waiter I have had in a very long time and the food was excellent. The Bartender made great Old Fashionsand he even made us grasshoppers for an after dinner drink. It was well worth the drive and to top it off we saw a bear runningacross the street! Excellent food, great service. Has that classic Wisconsin supper club kind of feel, mixed with the Northwoods lake and country... vibe. Menu is pretty large, focusing on steak and seafood. They are the only restaurant open on Tuesday nights in the immediatearea (this time of year anyway, not sure about when tourist season is in full swing) so they were somewhat busy but stillmanaged everything very quickly with great quality. Just a heads up for those who come in a group -- they do NOT do splitchecks... and they mean it, as I overheard another table ask to split their table 3 ways and were denied.
