In town for work and craved some sushi. As the old saying goes, the further you get from the ocean, the worse the sushi gets.... And Kankakee is about as far as you can get. With that said, these rolls were pretty decent and tasty. I would certainly suggestthe veggie rolls. One, because you know the ingredients are fresh, and two because they are good. As we all know, eating highgrade fish-laden sushi rolls is going to get more and more difficult as the oceans are over fished. Soon, climate change willmake good sushi incredibly expensive, and cheap sushi that people in places like Kankakee Illinois will be able to afford willbe really gross. So let’s help that slow that process and keep our tummies happy by eating more veggie rolls! Koi is a goodplace to do that. The sweet potato roll and mango avocado roll were much tastier than the salmon roll. Read more

I’ve been looking for a place locally to get glass noodles so that I didn’t have to drive up north. Koi’s glass Thai glass... noodles with tofu added did not disappoint me! I also ordered chicken egg rolls. The food was delish & I’ll be returning forsure. Read more
I ordered the hot and spicy soup, the sashimi appetizer and the seafood deluxe. The soup was very good. The sashimi was not very... fresh and the seafood deluxe was terrible. It had nearly no flavor and was quite watery. Also, something burnt in the kitchenand overwhelmed everything. I think it was badly burnt soy. Very disappointing meal. Read more

Nice place with a deep menu. Lots of different types of rolls, and plenty of good-looking dishes that aren't just sushi. Pretty... tasty appetizers, too. The Salmon wrap was delicious. Good drink menu; interesting variations of the Moscow mule. Read more
Ordered take out of chicken egg rolls, some sushi, fried rice, and red curry. Food was fairly decent - chicken egg rolls were... really good, sushi and fried rice were above average. The red curry was lacking the spice we usually look for but wasn’thorrible, more just run of the mill. On the other hand, the curry was incredibly hot (this is a good thing!) and hurt to handle,so be careful if you order out! Definitely liked this place and will probably get again when in the area.
