I?m not sure what this is, but it?s not hibachi. One vegetable (carrots - they?re sweet like the frozen kind that comes in the... microwaveable pouches), tasteless rice, some chicken/steak mixed with a potato??? and mushrooms. Overall quality declining since last visit several months ago. Ichiban has never been the best or most authentic Japanese food... option in town but they were a decent value and consistent. Issues I observed: The portion sizes are reduced. Temperature offood arriving at the table isn?t good (hot is warm, cold is cool). Especially affecting sushi ingredients. I would skip anyraw or cold dishes now. Understaffed on waiters, affecting their work despite their good attitudes and effort: Menus and checkfolders are dirty and greasy. Tables don?t appear to be getting wiped down. Cross contamination between handling the mouths ofused cups when busing and then immediately handling menus/etc. And delays. I think they need more staff and sometraining. The Air Conditioning is not working and this has apparently been the case for a while. I don?t know if they can?tafford to fix it or what. If the outside weather is cool, it?s not uncomfortable inside, lots of floor fans right now. Asidefrom these issues, the staff are friendly and several of the dishes are quite good otherwise. We have been going to Ichiban in Bowling Green since roughly 2007 when only the 31W Bypass location was open. We met some... amazing servers!! We grew up and had kids around the same time as some of them and we occasionally see some of them and it'swonderful that they remember our family. Always consistent quality, reasonable prices, and overall a great place. Hopefully the31W location is able to open again so we can go back to the place we first experienced, the place our now 15 year old daughterenjoyed the clear soup from her bottle, with a little ice cube to cool it. Wow! This place has great food! Their egg rolls are made in house and are some of the best I?ve ever tasted. I had the chicken... teriyaki and it was fresh and tasty! If we pass through Bowling Green again, we will definitely stop by! Highly recommended! Read more

Friends and I had come out for some sushi and all of us were pleased with the quality of what we had. Crazy salmon roll came on... a huge plate offering a flavor punch in every piece. Fire roll was such a cool experience for a roll that is set on fire andkeeps burning warming the sushi up. May not be for everyone, be careful if you order it. Dragon roll was interesting as it camewith noodles atop the sushi, how wild! Read more

Nice Japanese restaurant that was OPEN for dining in. The Goyza was really good with a sweet chill sauce for dipping instead of... the traditional ginger soy sauce. The chicken hibachi was tender and tasty, but I was a little disappointed in the fried rice. The Mrs had Vegetable Lo Mein and she liked it. Also ordered the California Maki Roll. Read more

What a delicious meal. The portions were excellent so you felt full, but not stuffed. The prices were decent and the... presentation was wonderful.
