My family and I came for lunch and with half our family being vegetarian, we were very limited on the menu choices. But our... server was PHENOMENAL, WOW! She made us the best VEGAN pizza and pasta i have yet to taste at any restaurant so far! TARA YOUWERE AMAZING!!!! Never had such great service before! Wish this restaurant all the best! The view was great. Hopefully they getsome more vegetarian/vegan options as we live literally 2 min drive away. GOOD LUCK! Read more
My wife and I went for a date night. I had a beer - there are some local selections but otherwise it is standard fare - and she... had a bellini, which she reported was delicious. She had the Deck burger and I had the fish bucket. Both meals were excellent!Good flavours and appropriate portions. The fries and caesar salad were also great. Minor complaints were the chairs on the deckweren't comfy and the service was adequate - not outstanding but not poor. We sat on the patio, which was very large. It was afun place to sit and the atmosphere was good. Overall we enjoyed it, we'd go back, and we recommend others try it. Read more
I have lived in Port Darlington for almost 10 years and loved visiting Bobby C?s, especially in the summertime. I was very... excited to try out this new place called The Deck. Within minutes of being there, it turned into the WORST service I have everhad in my entire life. The two stars are ONLY because the wings we ordered were delicious and the sauces we chose were veryflavourful. The wait staff have NO idea what?s going on and are not attentive to customers whatsoever. Our food came before ourdrinks and our server seemed to not even realize that she had forgotten the drinks. We had to ask for waters TWICE, and when theserver finally remembered, she only brought ONE. We had to wait another ten minutes for the second water! The patio, where wewere seated, had maybe 10-12 tables in total and there were AT LEAST 6-7 servers working. There was no excuse for the poorservice we received. My boyfriend had to go to the bar to request a second round of drinks, as we were sitting with empty platesand empty glasses for at least 15 minutes without anyone even noticing us. At the bar, we were told that our server would besummoned, but at this point we were so angry. Luckily, the server was actually quick with the bill and we left in a hurry. 10/10DO NOT RECOMMEND. Went there for some wings. I was told they are large by staff. I was so disappointed as the wings were tiny. Tasted good... with the bbq mango sauce. Caesar salad had more than romaine in it which looked nice but did not taste right and some of thelettuce was brown. Loved the truffle fries. Service was great until we were told to pay as our server?s shift was over. Hestated that someone else will come and check on us for more drinks. Never saw another person. Read more
The staff here is great! Our waitress was wonderful. The food was good, however, the menu was a little over priced and the menu... options seemed too simple, I think having nachos on the menus would be a great seller! We tried to order chips and salsa butthey had run out. Also we ordered Long Island iced teas and they were far from great. Hopefully with time they make some tweaks. Read more
We've been coming here for a long time when it was called Bobby C's and even got married here. We were looking forward to the... new restaurant and to see how things turned out. I really was hoping to love this place again. Disappointment was a common themethroughout our dinner. There was only 3 tables seated inside and multiple staff wandering around and zero interest in providingservice, no asking to refill drinks, take away plates, generally asking how things are. We waited a long time just to orderdrinks and even longer for the waiter to come back and take our order. Kids drinks were served in cocktail glasses which are sonot little kid friendly. Very limited menu options on their new menu. Kids meals are super overpriced for what they are, kidsburgers were super dry and the fries were so over salted. Adults food was ok, the wing came out in a puddle of grease, my caesarsalad dressing was brown and tasted nothing remotely like caesar, our other salad was also lacking the toppings it was supposedto come with. Probably not a place we would consider adding to our regular go to anymore. Shame. It could have been such abetter experience. They really try to make the food look/sound fancy but total fail. The restaurant is very nice and all the staff were friendly. Our waitress was amazing. The food was good, especially the... pizza. I only gave it 3 stars because the serving sizes for some dishes were very small and very pricey for the amount you got.For example, the bruschetta was $8.75 for 3 small pieces, it was good but not worth it for 3 pieces. The pasta dish was $19.00,when it came to the table we thought it was a kids size pasta. It didn't come with garlic bread or salad for that price. Most ofus left still filling hungry. Read more
