My wife and I moved to the area two years ago and set on a quest to find the best pizza in Boyertown, Gilbertsville and... Pottstown area. Mario?s wins, hands down. There are a couple restaurants that run a very close second, but it?s a no brainer atthis point, when we want pizza. Sausage, pepperoni, little extra sauce is the go to order. Best pizza ever!!! Ingredients tell the tale! I've bn a customer of Mario's for almost 20 years now because their pizza uses the best tasting... ingredients for the sauce and the dough. A lot of pizza places have an Italian name, but I can tell you- Joe is he real deal!Pasta and hoagies are great, too. This pizza brings me back to Jersey City / NYC pizza taste! It's great! This is truly a case of don't judge a book by it's cover. Upon entry I wasn't expecting much but boy did I get a surprise. The... Pizza is excellent, the Cheese Steaks are to die for and the prices are unmatched anywhere. Not to forget that the owner iswarm and inviting! The good: Pizza was pretty decent, garlicky with a good fairly thin crust. Reminded us of NY style- but not quite there. The... owner was pleasant & polite. No problems. The bad: Place was dirty inside & the bathroom absolutely disgusting. Stronglyrecommend doing this one as a take out only. Read more
