An adorable waterfront Café that serves European Cuisine. A bit of French, a bit of Italian, and a whole lot of Delicious. The... place gets packed around 5pm so make a reservation or come a bit early. Waiters are fantastic, personable ready to offerclarification or recommendations for whatever you need. Even if they aren't your specific waiter, as they go by they will grabplates that need to be removed. All without interrupting their service to their tables. Food is heavenly. The Butternut SquashBisque is creamy and has that delicious delicate sweetness of the butternut mixed with a great blend of spices and just a bit ofextra creme. And the Duck French Onion Soup... *chefs kiss* Nice chunks of fresh made French bread with a generous portion ofGruyère, fantastic. Our entrées were stunning with perhaps the best Bolognese I have had and my husband declared that his wasthe best Chicken Marsala he has ever tasted. Emphatically. Apparently, it has now been added as a contender for "Last Meal" ifhe should ever be on death row. (Lol) Dessert was a Classic Tiramisu that was a fantastic balance of well soaked lady fingersand a cream that was beyond perfect in it's fluffiness and delicate flavor. Obviously topped with great quality cocoapowder. There is a Happy Hour with decent choices as well and a drink menu that can cater to even the most picky of pallets(it's mine, I have the picky pallet). First time trying Cava, and it was an interesting profile of fruit, slight bitter middlenotes and mellow after tones, with a bit of sparkle, but definitely not a fizzy drink. We are only here for a few days, but wewill surely be back! Read more

A gem find in the city of Boyne. The location was great. We had a group of 22 ppl and was surprised they sat us all next to each... other. We had one server and he was a super server. I would give him a raise for his performance and he deserved every dollarfrom the tip. The food was amazing. I had the tuna and was wow. Others got the white fish and they loved it. We came backSunday for breakfast but the wait was long. We were told they have the best breakfast in town too. A must visit. Read more

Cafe Santé was great. The duck French onion soup was rich and delicious. The garlic butter broth that my mussels were in was so... good, I ended up drinking it all after I finished my mussels. The lemon sauce in the whitefish Á la meuniére was light andvery fresh tasting. The pappardelle bolognese was tasty as well. We got a free dessert (an addicting creme brulee cheesecake)due to the host not notifying the servers that we were seated so it took awhile before anyone came to take our orders. I wouldcome back again if I was in the area. Read more

Over the last 6 weeks my wife and I have been coming in for "Dine in the Alps, 6 Countries in 6 Weeks". Awesome food, great... taste and presentation. We really enjoyed Slovenia and Germany weeks. We have always heard good stuff about Cafe Sante, onenight we did order off their menu and the steak and pasta were great. Our server Joan was the best, so we ask for her now whenwe go. If you haven't been there, put it on your list! Read more

For this place being located not far from a tourist trap it is surprisingly good with decent prices. The pasta is made in house... with delicious sauces. They have a ton of great drinks to choose from. They also have wood fired pizzas. This is definitely agreat place to stop for lunch or dinner. And don't get me started on the breakfast absolutely delicious. Read more

Cafe Santé is an amazing cafe. Along with providing great service, the food was also amazing. I really enjoyed the atmosphere.... With some jazzy music in the background, and European paintings across the walls, this café makes me want to stay here all day!An excellent breakfast place, and on my 4-Day weekend, I came here twice! This restaurant is European style, they have a lot of your classic brunch entrées but they'll be a little different from what... you're used to. It was all fantastic nonetheless. The mimosas had great champagne and juices, the Americano was great and Iloved the Vienna pancakes. They're thinner than your classic pancakes but they pair great with the Michigan maple syrup andpistachio butter and whipped cream. Definitely will plan on coming again when in the area! Very fast and friendly service with agreat view of the lakes. Read more
