I spent $350 there buying what was supposed to be some of the best steaks in Bozeman. The chef didn't get one of our steaks... right. One of our steaks was replaced and the replacement was not cooked correctly either. The drinks were great. Theappetizers and salad were great. Even our waiter was pretty good (although he wasn't sure if a Tenderloin was the same as aFillet Mignon. But I was really disappointed in the steaks; Rib Eye, New York, and the Tenderloin. They were charred black tothe point of tasting the burned outsides if the steaks. Didn't live up to the hype. Read more

It?s the dog wall for me. Got me straight in the feels with that one. I love it. Open Range has classic steakhouse dishes done... right. The French onion soup is a great starter, and the wedge salad is perfection. My favorite cut is the ribeye, served upwith crispy potatoes. Read more

We hosted a dinner there for our national conference and it was perfect. Service staff were great. The menu was really... well-executed including the best key-lime pie I've ever had. The bar provided excellent service and Montana-themed drinks thatwere crowd-pleasers. We have association members who have been going to events like this for 35 years claiming it to be thebest conference dinner they've had. Excellent work all around. I would absolutely host an event with Open Range again. Read more

Had a great meal last night. Got the burger with a side of asparagus and melted blue cheese. The menu is definitely expensive... overall but the burger was fairly priced and tasty. Excellent drink selection as well. Good recommendations from the bartender(Tyler I believe). I was well attended too. Never a dry glass for long. Staff was very nice and engaged in friendly conversationall while keeping busy. Make sure you look at prices before taking a seat so you know what you are looking at for a check, butreally you should do that everywhere. Read more

I had the most amazing experience at this restaurant last night. The bartender (Beck) who was my server was absolutely amazing... and kept solid recommendations coming throughout the meal I had with my friend. We shared the special, a perfectly seared andseasoned 28 day aged 32 oz Tomahawk ribeye with fingerling red potatoes and olive oil asparagus. To start I had a Bleu cheesewedge salad that was wonderful, crisp and fresh, and the suggested wine pairing given was also decadent and delicious. Key limepie that was acidic yet sweet and obviously made with attention with a graham cracker crust topped it off. The setting andambiance of the restaurant was nice as well. This is for sure the best steak I've had since I came to town, and could be one ofthe better ones I've had ever. The service made it all the more awesome. Thanks Beck! Read more

Open Range is steakhouse in the middle of Main street in downtown Bozeman. The outside appearance fits the bill with a beautiful... brick facade equipped with a sign that shows a silhouette of a steer. Inside it is simple, clean and more casual than Iexpected. In all fairness, downtown Bozeman is a very cool, casual college town. The servers are very friendly and their attireis straight from the 90's with oversize white button down shirts and slightly baggy jeans. I loved it. We ordered cocktails andthey were very good and poured well. The menu is simple and easy to navigate. We were a group of 7 and they sat us at a hightable with high chairs. We all had the tenderloin, a very popular choice there. It took EXTREMELY long for us to get our foodand when it came it was nearly cold. However, the meat was good quality and was still buttery in your mouth considering thetemperature. The veggies that accompanied our protein were delicious as well. Ultimately the great service and quality of foodovershadowed my long wait and temp of my meal. I also feel that the pricing of the dishes are high for such a casual ambianceand experience. Read more

Found Open Range a bit pretentious! It?s a busy place for sure, and reading other reviews it sounds as though it serves decent... food, but in our case we couldn?t get past the feeling that we weren?t ?really? that important (we aren?t but we arecustomers!!) We sat down, waited and left! Not sure we made eye contact with anyone during the entire, albeit short experience. Read more

We were excited about this place. Especially since we are on Main Street almost weekly.. Plonk was great, but we wanted to give... other restaurants a chance. The place is really nice and the music was a vibe. The hostess was very professional and nice. Orserver was good. The appetizers were good. The shrimp was really good. But our main Entrées were cold. We waited patiently forcold food. I didn't want to be fussy, so I ate some of mine asked for a today go. My bf sent his back just to come came withcold food on a hot plate. They didn't remake the food. The food was heated on the plate and smothered with mushroom sauce.. Forthe prices things really need to be stepped up.. You can't charge upscale prices and serve diner food. Ijs. Read more
