The bakery is quite small as far as store fronts go, but I like that. It's cozy and keeps the hallmark small town feel. It was... my first time, and I got there later in the day, so the options were fewer. However, the service was great and I walked outwith 1/2 dozen assorted butter tarts. They are amazing. Throw Away any preconceived notions of how a butter tart should taste. These are perfect. Many flavour options. I opted for Pecan, plain & chocolate peanut butter. They are also quite large???? The filling is not as sweet as you would imagine, so it's actually the best thing about this tart. The consistency isbetween a custard and a pudding. It's just the right amount of sweet. You don't feel that signature tummy hatred and selfloathing after eating one. I actually put off eating mine for several hours because of the dread of how the "too sweet" feelingis. I was wrong. I could have eaten two if I had room ???? Read more

My wife loves butter tarts! That said, we couldn't walk by this store without going in. Not just butter tarts but an array of... other delectable delights both sweet and savory. So along with butter tarts I purchased a small assortment of sausage rolls fordinner that night. Although the tarts and rolls sere excellent I only gave a 3-Star rating dure to the price. It wasconsiderably more than I thought was appropriate for what we purchased. But don't let that stop you. Go in and try at least onebutter tart and decide for yourself. Read more

Don?t understand what the hype is about. I have eaten buttertarts across the province whenever I see a place that sells them,... and was pretty disappointed by a place that has buttertart in their name. I had the raisin buttertart and the crust was okay andthe filling was not very sweet or flavourful. I?ve had better tarts from a grocery store. Read more

Nice little local bake shop in Bracebridge. My first time here as every time I see a new Buttertart store I need to try it and I... was pretty impressed. We tried the Raisin and Pecan versions and both were really good but I liked the Pecan ones a bit better. They are really big butter tarts lol almost too big it?s like a meal as they are really rich but delicious at the same time. I?dhighly recommend a stop here to try them out for yourself one day ???????? Read more
