Venture out to Grand View from Columbus Ohio for my bachelor party. Had an awesome time! The course is very unique, I?ve never... played anything like it. And the views over the city are pretty sweet. Couldn?t imagine a more picturesque course to play in thefall in Pittsburgh! Read more

As an out of towner looking for a round post wedding festivities, this course appeared on several ?best of? lists. The drive to... the course was an adventure, but once at the entrence, it looked nice. The pros: able to get tee tubes without crazy advancenotice. It was a fairly cheap round, $26 per person with a cart for 9, the views were gray, and the pace of play was quick withour 12:10 tee time. The wining point fir us were the greens. T he ey looked great, rolled true, and were a pleasure to play. Afew too many un repaired ball marks but that?s expected on a public course if this nature. The electric carts were in greatshape and fun to drive. The cons: the worst tee boxes ever!! And the bunkers weren?t much better. Just about zero options inthe pro shop for a real golfer. No beer carts on the course. If the greens are a sign of what?s to come, there?s hope for thiscourse! Read more

Great views, fun holes, greens were in good shape. Course has potential to be the nicest public course in Pittsburgh, but MAN... those tee boxes were bad. Most need mowed badly, others were just giant patches of dirt. Fairways were in rough shape on a fewholes as well. Would definitely play again (good twilight and Golfnow deals). Please fix the tee boxes and it?s a great course Read more

This course has some potential to be pretty fun if it was just maintained. Greens were fine. Fairways were very spotty; mowed,... but not exactly a true fairway cut. Probably cut to about an inch. Tee boxes were basically unplayable. Hitting out of therough off the tee box is insane. I?m guessing they weren?t mowed for over a week. Best spot to hit from was dirt. The range hadsome old range mats and the grass area was once again not mowed. It?s not long enough for driver, probably maxes out at around250. Putting green wasn?t representative of the greens on the course. Also, chipping is forbidden on the practice green, butthere?s no where to chip that I saw. Someone told me there was an old green around hole 6 for chipping, but I never saw it onceI was around hole 6. It was pretty backed up when I got there around 745 and it seemed like almost anyone I spoke to had neverplayed the course before, including me. It took about 2.5 hours to get through 9 holes with the group I was paired with becausewe waited most holes. We were also hit into a few times since a lot of the tee shots are blind. I think the course was doing 8minute intervals, which has a lot to do with the back up. Honestly though, even with all that, if the tee boxes were justmowed, I?d probably play it again if I was local. Read more

I have been playing this course for years but haven?t been able to make it out there this year but boy has it gone downhill.... First let me say the staff is amazing and the greens are in great shape but the rest of the course has been let go. The fairwaysare burnt out and will not hold golf balls. The tee boxes are not mowed. Hole 15 fairways is all ground under repair. Some holesare missing the 150 yard markers making it difficult as the carts no longer have GPS on a course that has way to many blindshots. Read more

This is a challenging course with narrow fairways and dog-legs that will have you carefully considering your next shot and club... of choice. Terrific views and very well maintained. Staff was very welcoming. Will definitely be back again. Read more

Tight fairways! Be ready to play off the rough or from another fairway or a steep side hill lie after bouncing your shot on the... fairway or green. Since it was spring the grass was longer than usual for obvious reasons. The front 9 was easier than the back9, you'll lose the ball after hitting a good shot on the back 9. The par 3s on this course are fabulous, each one can be asignature hole of the course. I also did get some breath-taking views of the Pittsburgh downtown, steel mills, bridges and theneighborhood. Would definitely play in summer when it's dry. Read more

Challenging course that requires proper shot selection. Only used my driver on 6 holes. A truly unique experience that stands... out from the rest of the courses in the Pittsburgh area. If you?re a high handicap golfer, bring a dozen balls. I lost 4 on aday where I played pretty well. Highly recommend getting lunch/dinner at the restaurant after your round. I had calamari and aNew York strip. They were both great. The bartender was very nice as well. Read more
