Deals are great and food was tasty. Our server was definitely spread thin but that's not her fault by any means. She was great... despite the busy restaurant and our large party. Only grievance is I asked for no pico (due to an allergy) and it was still onmy tacos despite the waitress noting it. I'll definitely go back on a slower night to give them another chance tho! I had the worst experience at this restaurant, and it didn't make any sense other than the bartenders were drunk. They wouldn't... wait on me at the bar. I had to ask for everything. When I arrived, after doing yoga next door at the yoga studio, I sat at thebar. The short, heavy male bartender went over to the short, chubby female bartender and said something to her. They both lookedat me and then weird stuff started. Neither one would wait on me. When the female came over, I had to ask her to help me. Thiswas after I was there for 15 minutes, and they were both helping other "regulars" and washing glasses. Finally, the female tookmy order for 3 tacos (taco Tuesday, 11/1/22 at about 7:30pm). My food never came after 30 minutes of waiting while other foodarrived for people who arrived after me. They didn't bring me chips and salsa but other people who arrived after me were askedif they wanted them. Finally, after being there for 45 minutes and only drinking a soda water, the short female bartender cameclose enough for me to ask about my food. She went over to the computer, put my order in (this was half an hour AFTER I hadordered it) and left for the kitchen and didn't return for about 10 minutes. During this time, I watched the heavy malebartender drink 4 shots of liquor. So, he was working while intoxicated. And then, he was going to drive home drunk??? I went toleave but the bartender had hidden my keys. When I started looking for them, I noticed she had hidden them in front of the seatnext to me under several napkins when she cleaned the counter. Then I heard the male bartender say, "she's looking for themright now". And they both turned and looked at me. Why, you may ask, would anyone treat another person, let alone a customerthis way, your guess is as good as mine. We've been coming here since they opened. Service is really good and the wait staff do a great job. Love the food, the beans... and rice are very good. Their bar staff do a fine job as well. I would have rated 5 stars but I have to say that the size oftheir tortillas for their amazing fajitas has shrunk so much my hubby keeps threatening to bring his own next time. It isimpossible to have a wonderful experience when the tortillas they give you are so small. Not even 6 inches across. It'sridiculous and more messy than necessary! Read more
This is by far the best Mexican style restaurant on the entire East coast. My wife and I often come around door lunch and... dinners which are always delicious and flavorful. The servers are amazing and the atmosphere is great. The food quality isexceptional, you will not be disappointed I assure you. Read more
The food was very good. This was my first time here since covid happened. Unfortunately the service was terrible. Our waitress... rarely came to check up on us and when she did come to the table she left so quickly we couldn't get a word in until she wasacross the resteraunt...We should not have had to shout to her running away for refills or to order something... paid noattention to the empty dishes until she threw the check at us. It was near closing time, there were not many people in there atthe time. But she had enough time to talk to her coworkers who were eating at a table a few rows down from ours. They were alsoout of 2/4 of their desserts. What should've been a happy conclusion to date night turned into a very frustrating anddisheartening evening... Hey this place is super cool and great food try el volcán but make sure you are really hungry cause oh boy you will get all... types of flavors with meats from steak to chicken to shrimps definitely recommended. Read more
Very nice employees with prompt service. Chips were stale tasting and house salsa was watery and lacked flavor, but the house... Verde salsa was excellent. Our group ate Burritos, Tacos and Alhambra, all were very good. Read more
