Ok they get 2 stars because the calzone was descent, however, the shrimp scampi was the single worst pasta dish i have ever... eaten. Absolutely no flavor, unseasoned pasta, over salted shrimp and clearly the cook has no idea how to make scampi. It wasswimming in unseasoned olive oil. It?s VERY small but the owner is a nice guy. Food was great. Had the spinach manicotti and hubby had spaghetti with meatballs.... There was one guy in the kitchen and the owner does everything else. Still he gave good service. We will try it again and givethe pizza a go. Read more
Man who took our order didn?t even greet us, no acknowledgement whatsoever. No hello, no thank you. Just took our order. I... wanted to dine in but I didn?t feel too welcome. On top of that once our food was ready they had forgotten an item that we hadto wait another 15 minutes for. Lack of customer service & mediocre pizza. Read more
Came her on a recommendation and I am glad we did. The owner John came out to greet us, and we quickly realized we are both old... school Brooklynites. We chatted for a few and then we ordered an XL pie pepperoni and mushroom. John asks "make it Brooklynstyle" and I nod back. Fifteen minutes later a pie appears and it is perfection. Perfect ratio of cheese and sauce. The crustwas amazing, bubbles, light char on bottom, perfect crease when folded and no flop. The bottom was semolina dusted to boot. Ittasted as good as it looked. This pie reminded me of back home. This pie holds its own against DiFara, Tottonos, Lennie's,Delmar, etc. Perfect NY pizza. We are coming back for subs next time on house baked semolina bread. We visited here this afternoon for lunch. We've talked about visiting for quite a while but haven't had the time to drop in.... Well after today we are SUPER glad we stopped and ate because it was delicious and everything was very authentic. Restaurant atfirst appearance walking in was much nicer than expected and the owner took great care of us. The Antipasto was perfect withplenty of meat and just the right amount of greens. (Very little). The Stromboli's were delicious and my wife's fried Eggplantparmesan was to die for according to her. Please go check out this locally owned restaurant and you won't be disappointed! We do family pizza night every Saturday and thought we had been to every place in town. We were surprised to learn of Cafe... Amalfi and on a tip from a stranger we gave it a try. We dropped in on a Saturday at about 8p and there were only 2 other tablesseated so it was quiet. The service was really good (pretty sure he was the owner). The food came out super quick, almostsurprising fast, yet it was perfectly cooked. The pizza crust was thin, but not too thin, it was just thick enough to give nicestability but not so dough?ie that you felt stuffed after one piece. The crust flavor was outstanding. The fresh mushrooms werethe best we?ve ever had on a pie, hearty slices so they didn?t cook down to mush. French fries were good too, steak fries. It?snot a complaint, but a comment, the French Fry appetizer portion is kinda small. We ended up with like 15 to 18 fries per orderso keep that in mind based on the size of your group and passion to crush fries. All in all, great find and we?ll certainlyvisit again. Read more

Pizza it?s ok, but don?t go there for service. The guy was mad because I asked for an extra soda and didn?t pay in cash. Imagine... how he was when I had to come back for a sparkling water?. And I had to pay with Apple Pay again. Read more
