The food here at Chen’s Gourmet is excellent! I recently moved to Bradenton from NYC. Having eaten at many different Chinese... restaurants in NYC’s Chinatown area, I can say that the food at Chen’s Gourmet is very reminiscent of the high quality foodI would get back in NYC. I especially like the fried dumplings and the sesame chicken. Chen’s serves big, moist pieces ofchicken, not tiny pieces of chicken covered in ridiculous amounts of batter like I have had at some other local Chineserestaurants. Very good, high quality food. The teriyaki beef on stick is so good. If you’ve had similar dishes at nearby Chinese... restaurants, they will always be better at Chen’s in my experience. Chen’s uses noticeably higher quality ingredients,including the beef and chicken. Excellent honey chicken, and it was customized spicy as requested. I will be ordering fromChen’s regularly. Read more

The food looks nothing like the pictures on UberEATS. The rice is yellow and tasteless, there is barely any pork in it. I... ordered a combination and donuts and I can't believe I paid $30 for this. Not even close to gourmet. Read more
Absolutely the best Chinese food we've had in Bradenton/ Sarasota by far!! We're used to having very authentic Chinese food... after living in several states in the last two decades. We've tried many in the area since our move here but this is by far thebest. The ingredients are very fresh and their cooking skills superb. I ordered Shrimp with Cashew Nuts and the shrimp wascooked perfectly while the vegetables were cooked well but very crunchy. They have 27 choices for their lunch specials and theyinclude Roast Pork Fried Rice and a 12 ounce can of soda for a very reasonable price. They also have free hot Chinese tea. Their portions are large - I ate half and took the rest home. My husband ordered General Tso's Chicken and he said it wasoutstanding. He couldn't finish his either! Along with their lunch menu they have an extensive dinner menu. I've attached lotsof pictures. I'm very impressed. We have chosen this as our #1 Chinese restaurant. Due to COVID-19 you cannot eat in now butyou can call ahead and pick up our just stop by and order. Okay for most part. I ordered the following: bbq boneless spare ribs, which were very good, hot and sour had great flavor, full... of typical meat, tofu and seaweed and not too thick. The egg roll was typical and decent. I ordered chicken fingers which werejust okay, lot of filling and but my biggest issue was with the General Tso's Shrimp. It was (maybe) medium shrimp that were cutin half the long way and surrounded by a ton of filling, making them appear like large or jumbo shrimp, see pics. Read more
I ordered the Sesame chicken combo and it had less than a half of a chicken wing worth of chicken in it, more like the flapper!... All battter!! Terrible! It should be against restaurant food rules to rob your customers like that! I'm from NC and this is theworst Food I have ever had!!!! Trash! Don't go there! Read more
