We came here about a year ago on vacation and had a great experience. Decided to come here again and it was just as good as the... first time. Excellent German Food. The Golden Palace was delicious. It was pork schnitzel with German potato salad. The appetizer Golden... Tent was two potato pancakes and smoked salmon. The desserts looked amazing. My family split a bread pudding with ice cream,cream, and fruit and an apple strudel with cream and fruit. The whip cream is made in house. Service was great. I really enjoyed the food here.It is the best german restaurant in town. The potato pancakes were finger linking good. I tried... their snitzel lunch special and enjoyed it.For desserts we had the crepes with blueberries and those were my favorites. Read more
This is a great German Restaurant. It is quaint and is a true gem. Owners, and entire staff are exceptional and genuinely... friendly. We ordered the Schweinshaxn and Salzburger Nockerl as requested a day ahead; they delivered. The Haxn (Pork Knockle)was well seasoned and prepared. The food tasted great. The potato dumplings were homemade from scratch. They are not on theregular menu, so make sure you order them in advance. It really shows that Simone and Uwe love to prepare the food. Both,especially Uwe, have an extensive experience as a chef all over the world. The Salzburger Nockerl are more dense than Iremembered, but it was delicious. Due to the limited sitting arrangement and kitchen size, they cannot offer everything withoutadvance order. It is a true gem and we will certainly be back soon. Dinner was wonderful. I had the veal schnitzel with potato salad and my bf had the beef sausage trio with sauerkraut. The... desserts were not good, and I would skip it next time. We had the bread pudding and the black forrest tower. Both werelackluster and bland with whipped cream with no flavor (no sugar maybe?). Atmosphere was nice, but service was a little slowthat day. There's only one waitress handling everything. The other waitress is the chef's wife and she stayed primarily at thefront, but stopped by every so often to ask how things were. Over all a very pleasant experience and we will definitely comeback and get food to go. Read more
