Amazing food, great music, friendly owners and great service. The best chicken parm I’ve ever had, hands down. BYOB and great... setting. This is a real hidden gem and easily outdoes any of the other Italian spots in the vicinity. Read more

Lana and her team catered our wedding in Asbury Park on 5/21/22. We signed a contract with Lana 2 weeks before our wedding date... and given the short notice for our wedding they delivered exactly what was asked and more! They made sure our guests were wellfed and taken care of. Our guests are still talking about the food. Lana and her staff made our wedding so special withexceptional food & service. We can’t recommend them enough. I am excited to dine at Mangiare Tu and experience one of theirmeals again! Thank you to the Mangiare Tu team! Read more

Whenever I am in Jersey and feel like going to a place that has become a home away from home I go to Mangiare Tu. It is obvious... that this restaurant is Lana’s (the owner) pride and joy. This time around we brought our own wine and some beer. Lana wentout of her way to put everything on ice to make sure it stayed chilled throughout the night. I was with family that had neverbeen there before so lana took the time to explain the entire menu and answered any questions they had. I of course got thefritto misto for an app which was to die for. The shrimp and calamari were lightly breaded and fried and there was so much food! Two of us got the prawn di nero for our entree and oh. My. God. It was so good! Everything was so fresh, flavorful, andbeautifully plated. Another member of our party was lucky enough to try lana’s famous Sunday gravy ???? it was outstanding!Plus it was such a big portion she was able to bring some home to enjoy the next day. I have to say the dish that won the nightin my opinion was the pork steak-and I didn’t even eat it! It was so colorful and beautifully plated I couldn’t help butthink it should be in a food magazine. And let me tell you that it was cooked to perfection (according to my uncle) talk aboutfall off the bone meat. If you’ve made it this far into my review I’m sure it’s safe to say that I adore this place andwill always make time to stop in when I’m in jersey. Support locally owned family businesses-Mangiare tu is the best (pictured here is the prawn di Nero- I wish I took pictures of everything ????) Read more

What a wonderful hidden gem! Lana (mother) and Anthony (son) are the amazing owners, full of charm and devotion to making your... dining experience the best. The stupendous food is made to order. The dishes are beautifully presented. Eating on the quaintporch was divine. The desserts were supreme. This is going to be our new favorite restaurant. I love their reservationprocedure! Much more personal than using Open Table or Resy. The atmosphere is elegant and classy. Mary Katherine was ourcharming waitress. We loved going here for dinner with friends on Saturday. They are also scheduled to have a Frank Sinatrasinger. Can't wait to go back! Read more

The owner is a sweetheart. Since coming back to New Jersey, I must say this is the best Italian I’ve had so far. 4.9 rating is... selling this place short. Should be 5 stars across the board. Read more

What a hidden gem! Food was so delicious and the portions were just perfect. We found this spot accidentally. The hostess was... kind enough to find us a table even though we didn't have a reservation. It's intimate, it's authentic and everything you wantfrom an Italian restaurant. We literally enjoyed every bite. They're B.Y.O.B. for those of us who enjoy some wine with dinner. If you haven't been here definitely go! Read more
