Carley provided excellent service. We skipped appetizers. The pan-fried walleye was very good although not what we (from Iowa)... we?re expecting. A pan-fried fish is usually breaded, this was not, but really good. Potatoes were good, could?ve been warmer,asparagus was perfect. 7 yo?s kids? hamburger was a quarter pound! Fries were appreciated by all! 4 yo would not eat her Mac andcheese, it had Parmesan in it. Odd choice for a kid?s meal. Key lime pie was delicious, although jalapeño whipped cream had abite. Grandkids enjoyed the ice cream sundae, and daughter the cheesecake. All in all a very nice meal. Service was top notch,even though servers were handling two very large groups. Read more
Stood at door for at least 10 minutes (with a reservation) with staff walking past us and not even acknowledging us. When she... did greet us she asked us to wait longer as there was a group coming in 5 minutes and she needed to prepare for this group, wehad already been waiting to be seated for our reservation. We decided to sit at the bar and wait. No beer/wine menu. Only 2beers on tap. Sat and waited at the bar for 10-15 minutes before being seated. After ordering our appetizer waited 30 minutesfor and it came out COLD. We waited over an hour and a half for our steaks that were both ordered at medium rare. One came outmedium rare the other very rare, and COLD. Everything on our plates were cold. When we told our waitress she offered to bringthe steaks back to the kitchen and microwave them. This was our first time. I read the very mixed reviews. Our service was friendly. The pot roast & vegetables were really good.... My wife's scallops appetizer was solid. The charcuterie board was outstanding (see my attached photo). Our Cabernet was good aswell. This is not Bar Harbor, nor did it possess BH's ambiance. But it also didn't match BH's price tag or attitude. We will beback. Read more
Best food we had during our 2 week summer vacation. The ambiance on the outside patio was awesome. The service was excellent.... The food was the kind of food you constantly think about and tell everyone you run into about it. Literally every dish,including the children?s Mac and cheese was on a higher level. The walleye was the best walleye meal I had in the Brainerd lakesarea. My wife had the pot roast and could not stop raving about it. Everything was perfectly prepared and the flavors wereamazing. We took our boat and used the restaurant?s dock. If you have a boat on Gull lake, GO HERE. If you have a car near Gulllake, GO HERE. If you have a sea plane in northern MN, land on Gull lake and GO HERE. Read more
Wasn't to impressed with the breakfast, but we came here again before dinner and ordered appetizers. The Charcuterie plate was... amazing! Its half gone in the picture but it was so delicious, would recommend! Read more
We were there for dinner on Sunday 8/16 and all I can say is it was the best meal I?ve had out in a very long time. WOW! We had... the scallops for an appetizer and the walleye for dinner. ???? I?m still thinking about how good it was. I?m thinking we have togo back for fall colors just to eat there again! Everyone in our group (15) loved the food. Service was great.
