This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who knows good hakka food from back in the early 90?s when it was first... introduced in Scarborough at ?Federicks? the birth of Indo Chinese. The food here was quite comparable. Good prices andportion size. The chilli chicken was pretty good, maybe a little less breading next time. Hakka chowmein and rice with chickenand shrimp was excellent and not oily like some other restaurants. Beef and broccoli was packed with flavours. The hot andsour soup also was yummy and had a lot of ingredients. We were just disappointed with the chicken pakoras, I think a littleless flour batter as it was dry and doughy.. but the service was fast and we will be back again. Just fix the pakora batter. This place has the hottest deals in town. The portions are massive . The lunch special is unbeatable I go here but mostly stick... to the veg dishes..I find their chicken hasn't tasted the best to me.. I'll have to try again in future. This has been my go to spot for years! Some of the best Chinese food in the city. The food is very good here and the prices are... very reasonable. The interior of the restaurant its self is very old and outdated but if you want amazing food you have to comehere. They aren't stingy with their portions either. They have the best chilli chicken in the city hands down! The fried riceand Shanghai chow mein are very good. Crispy beef and manchurian chicken are really tasty as well. Great food overall! This is the best Vegetarian Chinese food I have ever had!! We are regulars here...and often take out too. Highly recommend the... Dry Manchurian balls in red sauce ordered with their vegetarian fried rice. They also offer their home made sauces which areyum. ?? Read more
