Total rubbish. My first time buying food from them and i recieved nonsese. I ordered from ubereat . Food came very and tasted... and looked like a 2 days food which was just packed for me cause they ready to go home. Couldnt each this trush. Never again.And am going to make a video about your restaurant and put it on all my social media platforms. Read more

Just went to ask her, regarding F1 fingerprints, the owner of the business was nice, but got little frustrated. Bcz too many... people ask about that place. But still helpful. . Got the jerk chicken dinner. Portion size was good, jerk chicken was flavourful but kind of dry. Not sure if I have been... spoiled with good rice and peas at many other places but it was probably the worst I've had. No coleslaw and no gravy includedwhich seems to be pretty standard at all the other places I've ever been. Better off going somewhere else for jerk chickendinner! Read more

My order was wrong when I visited this restaurant, despite me taking the time to repeat and clarify my order over the phone... beforehand. Upon arrival I noticed the order was wrong and asked for it to be corrected. The person serving me was visiblyannoyed that I dared to ask for my order, which I paid and patiently waited for, to be corrected. The cashier charged me thewrong price for the item I ordered. And continued to dispute with me about the price, until I pointed out the price on their ownmenu. Weird. To be sure I was not being overly critical, the following week I gave the restaurant a chance to redeemthemselves. I ordered again, and received almost the exact same service (my order was wrong despite me repeating it to theperson who answered the phone, I received attitude because I asked for the order to be corrected, and once again I was overcharged for the item and had to debate with the cashier that she charged me the wrong amount). Keying error? Twice, in twoseparate weeks? Its clear some training is badly needed here, as well as a course on customer service. The bad attitude isunnecessary and leaves the customer with an unpleasant experience. I am sure no one will take accountability and willconveniently not recall any of these events, or my review will be deemed as 'Fake' which appears to be the response to most ofthe negative reviews below. Update*** The response to my Google review is that I called and did not provide proof of payment???I'm not sure what unfortunate customer that was, but I didn't call anyone about this issue. Or was this an attempt to provide afake resolution for Google? SMH. Needless to say, there will not be a 3rd visit. Read more

This is probably my first review ever. I don?t like to review restaurants, or give a restaurant a bad name. I have ordered from... this restaurant about 5 times, and the only thing that I am comfortable enough to order is there cornmeal porridge, as that isprobably the easiest thing to make. Last week, I decided to order their chicken soup; I was given ackee and salt dish, with 4fried dumplings. I understand that you may not have an item at times, though that was the soup of the day, and the food that youreplaced with the soup did not even taste good. At least if you don?t have an item, then simply refund the paying costumer. Ibelieve that this restaurant is extremely lazy when it comes to making their food, and it seems like they will hire anyone tosit in the kitchen and cook their food. I genuinely feel like they have a toddler cooking in the back. The amount of times myfamily and I have had to make a complaint on skip the dishes is absolutely disgusting. You would think that the restaurant ownerwould be concerned with the amount of complaints they get. Read more

Update August 1 2022: Went in today and ordered LG BBQ fry chicken with Rice and peas, a small curry goat with white rice and... coleslaw and a fry dumplin. The curry goat was good and the white rice was okay. The BBQ fried chicken was disappointing. Thechicken while bland was smothered in the BBQ sauce. The rice and peas was awful, it was way too soft, clumpy and unevenlycooked. I did not get the coleslaw I paid for, which was surprising as it was not mentioned there'd be a charge for it. Thecashier was friendly and engaging but the food here is too inconsistent. This is my 3rd order here and so far only one order wasgood. Update : Used skip the dishes to place a 7pm order and I was quite disappointed in the difference of the quality of foodI received. The fry chicken was dry, the bbq chicken was hard and seemed like it has been left out since lunch, the jerk porkleft much to be desired as there was a lot of oil, fat and skin. It was also quite unusual to have fresh, raw onions and carrotscut up on top of the jerk pork. Down from 5 to 2 stars.... The food was fresh and delicious. The lady at the cash waspleasant, she might have been one of the owners, she also made inviting conversations while I waited on my order. I ordered alarge BBq-Fry and a small curry goat, the portions were appropriate and fair. The restaurant is clean and I would definitelyrecommend Jamaica Island. Read more

A tasty breakfast from Island Cuisine this morning. I purchased a small ackee and saltfish, and for only $8, the portion was... very generous. There was a bit too much oil but aside from that, I loved the breakfast overall. A small, yet clean restaurantlocated in a quiet plaza. I'm looking forward to another visit when I'm in the area.
