Must try in Brampton! Just be sure to bring cash as they are a cash-only business, very reasonably priced. The grilled burgers... really do taste deliciously like charcoal, banquet burgers (with bacon) are always a good choices. The toppings are all freshand delicious. Fries are decent. Always a treat to visit, and I'm one to complain about no debit transactions but when your hungry for Sonny's you let that... slide... There is a bank machine on sight that will cost you $2.99 on the spot plus bank fees with your branch...this visit wasas usual a pleasant experience, although the burger prep guy seemed to be very grumpy even to his staff... Food is arteryclogging and fast, what more can you ask for... Oh ya... Great value for the price/food portions... I saw another photo postedwith Russel Peters and the Sonny's staff as well... An old fashioned drive-in with amazing food, amazing workers. I love going there, it's a unique experience.
This usually is my go to place but the last few times weren?t that great. Tonight was my last time eating from Sonnys. I ordered... my ribs and fries combo well done and it came out the opposite. I had to put the ribs in the over and cook them for another15min. Ribs were white and uncooked. My fries were undercooked and very greasy. Not sure if this is the new norm or maybebecause it was closing time, but under any circumstances this is unexceptionable .. Thanks for wasting my $18.00 Sonnys! Read more

Sonny?s is an old school charbroiled burger shop. It?s similar to Apache and Johnny?s. Very similar actually. It?s a cash only... place. So bring money. There is an atm. They do burgers, dogs, steak sandwiches, ribs, fries, rings. No fountain pop. Drinks arecans or bottles. They will top your burger or items with the usual suspects (ketchup, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, relish,pickles, sautéed onions, hot peppers). Nothing too fancy. My meal review: I got fries. Mistake to put gravy on top. They weresoggy. Could have used salt. So I would do gravy on side for sure (unless you like soggy). So I started with them. And was a bitdisappointed. Then I got into the burger. And I was not disappointed. The meat / burger patties were excellent. The topping werefine. But the meat was delicious and two patties was almost too much. The bun wasn?t a standout, but lightly toasted and did thejob. Next time I?m in the area, I would definitely do another burger. But maybe try the onion rings. 4.4/ 5 for burger. Read more
We had the bacon burger, double banquet burger, jumbo hot dog, and fries and onion rings combo. It was fantastic! Big portions,... so come hungry. Personally, don't forget to ask for salt because I like my fries saltier. Read more
