3/30/22- My wife and I got food poisoning. I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans. She had the burger and green beans.... We have been fine all day until we ate here. It hit us around 11pm. It's bad we called off work today. Read more
Having a 1 star is generous . First the fish wasn?t the same it was thin and cold ( served with ranch instead of tarter!!!) the... green beans were cold and not much there considering I paid $50 for dinner for two! The fried biscuit appetizer was good. I hadn't had some in forever. The burger was good and juicy and the onion slivers were... very tasty. My son's chicken tenders were very generic from a supplier and the fries were equally bland. I enjoyed the baseballthem and would eat here again. Read more
The rating is multifactoral to include food, setting, service. The atmosphere and decor seems mismatched and outdated. The... place looks older. Confused over whether this place was a sports bar or what..? Its a home- cooked restaraunt. The service wasgood and friendly. The food was pretty good and homecooked, except the meatloaf. I was really dissappointed in the meatloaf. The edges were dry and it tasted like it had sat out awhile. I'm also use to meatloaf being thick..but this one was like arectangle burger patty with meatloaf taste...hmmm. The little fried biscuits were nice but had a slight old oil taste. I thinkthis place could use a little improvement and get 5 stars, but for now..its 3..maybe 3 1/2.????????. I would go back but notget meatloaf. Read more
It was not my choice to go here. It was my mother, who is a regular I guess. Options are slim in Brandenburg but this was not... bad. That's hardly a raving endorsement either. We had the buffet on Father's Day. They were feeding the masses andunfortunately that carried over into the flavor of a number of dishes. The fried chicken was cold. And, that alone cost them 1star. The lack of heat source was no doubt the culprit. Apart from health code issues it's a big no no. The fried fish wasawesome, but I was lucky to have it fresh. The pasta salad was nothing remarkable but needed more zip and tang. It was roomtemperature which is very opposite of what it should be. The prime rib was surprisingly tender for being ice cold. The onionrings were chewy and once again cold. On whole 3 stars is fair. Read more
Everything is home cooked and it is amazing! The fried chicken and fried fish were the best I have ever had. Highly recommend... the buffet which runs Saturday evenings and all day Sunday. The prices are reasonable and service is excellent! Highlyrecommended! Read more
The fried biscuit were awesome. The meal was mediocre at best. The salmon patty was a frozen box type not too fresh. Chicken... and dumplings were ok. Cornbread was good. Green beans had little flavor. Beer was cold. All in all not bad for a small town?home cooking? restaurant but not the best. Read more
