The steak burgers and fries were hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. The milk shakes were very delicious as well.
I don?t expect greatness here but I do expect to be able to pick something up from time to time.. 50% or more of the times I... stop in after work the door is locked well before closing time. Pulled up and a worker was out back smoking, I didn?t think much about it because everyone deserves a break. There was a cone... blocking drive thru so we parked and went in. We walked in and there was no other customers. There was a young worker sitting inthe dining room on his phone. The worker that was out back when we pulled up was in the kitchen on her phone. We put our orderin on the kiosk. Looked for a table and I kid you not, there was not any clean tables, the floor was absolutely disgusting. Iwent to get my drink and there was no ice in the machine so I asked the man who was cooking for ice. The girl on her phone didnot budge. I went to the drink station and it looked like it hasn?t been wiped down all day. My husband wiped down a table, ourfood came and it was good. My husband asked about his milk shake he ordered. The same man who made our food went and made it. Hewas the only person working. I have never been in such a nasty restaurant in my life. Who is the franchise owner?? I miss the old style steak and shake but food is exceptional for the price. They could be the In-N-Out Burger of Florida if they... make just a couple changes. I hope they survive in this environment after the changes that they made. Read more
An empty parking lot should have been a clue. The absolute worse Steak and Shake we have ever been to. Noone was in the dining... room except for a couple of employees. We were informed that the order at a computer kiosk. Which wasn't very user friendly andthe employees were no help either. Which should have been another clue we were not in a good place. Once we figured things outwe placed our orders. (no thanks to the employees) We ordered combo dinners that came with drinks. I asked for a glass of 1/2Sweet Tea and 1/2 Lemonade. I was told they had neither. So I decided to have punch (because I cannot drink carbonated drinks)to which I was told they did not have either. So I asked about bottled water. They went to get one and found out that theydidn't have that either. The employee at this point just shrugged his shoulders with no apology or explanation. I explained thatI paid for a combo with a drink. Once again the employee literally shrugged his shoulders with no concern or apology noralternative. Our burgers were alright but the fries were cold. In all my years of being a Google Guide this is one of very few 1star ratings that I have given. Go into this Steak and Shake at your own risk. If you are in management with Steak and Shake,know that this store is your worse nightmare. Someone needs to do something or this store is going to close soon. The entiretime we were here there was not 1 other customer. I took pictures of the PR posters and the quality guarantee poster. Obviouslythe employees did not take these posters seriously. BTW This was not our first time to eat here but it has been probably about 5years since we have been here and we had a good experience then but not anymore. Also we were there around 6:30pm. Since I was a child I was obsessed with the chili mac and it has really gotten so pitiful. I've tried 3 locations in the last... month, this one and two in Tampa, and I have to say I just can't eat there any more. The last order from this store came withalmost a full fork full of chili/meat. The order with it for 3$ extra meat and sauce was two fork fulls. I can remember when themeal looked just like the menu on a large plate full of spaghetti. This is what I got and both meals were cold and I combinedboth into one container.
