Really shocking treatment. Walked in around 7 for dinner last year on a Wednesday before leaf peep season. Was nastily told by... the hostess if we didn't have a reservation we'd have to wait an hour. We had heard good reviews so said sure. We asked if wecould sit at the bar and order drinks while we waited and was told no, not enough staff...though there were already peoplesitting at the bar ????!! The tomato tart on a thin crust was delectable and just perfect. Try it for sure. I had the lamb chops and enjoyed them. Cooked... just right. Service was also timely and helpful. Was visiting from Seattle area the weekend of the 1st. Will return again on ournext trip to Vermont. Read more

We usually have a great experience in this restaurant, however every thing was off last Sunday dinner. There were ton of house... flies indoors and was very annoying. Our waitress was very unfriendly and did not come back to our table for the entire 1.5hours. I kept asking other waitresses for help. Just very disappointing because it's not a cheap restaurant. Giving 4 starsonly because the breakfast was amazing with incredible waitress. She saved the day. Read more

The food was pretty good. I had flat iron steak with mashed potatoes and it was really good. I liked the sauce a lot. Also the... Cali Mari was good. The seafood stew was also very good, lots of seafood in it and the presentation was nice. We got the duckbut the sweetness of the blueberries and oranges was a bit odd and didn’t go well. Read more
Cafe Provence was a nice experience. The wait staff was very accommodating with allowing us to move inside when the mosquitos... decided that I was the best thing on the menu! Ambiance was casual classy and the waitress was attentive. The salads, soup, andpasta appetizers were delicious. My boyfriend's seafood dish was very good. My hanger steak was very over cooked but wasreplaced by the waitress and the kitchen staff came over to apologize and attributed the error to new staff being trained. Iwould recommend marinating the hanger steak to get some more flavor into it (it was a bit bland) and then slicing it across thegrain to display on the plate after cooking (great way to check correct doneness and adds to the presentation). Dessert was adelightful flight sweet treats... I wish the ricotta cavetelli was a dinner not just an appetizer :) Read more
