Happened upon this gem traveling from Bethany Beach to Brooklyn. Driving the strip - Daddy O stood out because of the amount of... people heading for the front door. There was also a very inviting rooftop dining area. Food & drinks were great as was theservice! My wife and I went to have a cocktail on the rooftop deck. Granted, the deck area was busy. Not many seats even possible at the... small bar. We were unable to find anywhere to either sit or rest our drinks. I would suggest some sort of standing area wheresomeone could safely set a drink on a railing or a small bar. That was the good part. When we relocated to the downstairs bar,it was completely empty. No one in the entire room except five staff members who were all sitting at the bar (customer side)talking about things that customers shouldn't hear. This is a huge management flaw. First, no staff members should ever besitting at the customer side of the bar just hanging out. Second, staff should not be spending their time playing on theirphones. The language and general discussion from these staff members was atrocious. We left. Read more
My husband and I came here on a Saturday night to celebrate his birthday. We were greeted by a super sweet hostess and seated... immediately. Our server, Alex, was attentive without being overbearing. He checked on us the perfect amount of times! My husbandordered the burger and a funnel cake flavored beer, both of which he said were excellent. I got the fried chicken sandwich andit was so perfect! So juicy and perfectly crunchy. We both loved the seasoned fries as well. We also got to briefly meet themanager on duty who was very nice. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in LBI! Read more
Great atmosphere on the rooftop bar. We started up there for cocktails and moved down to the restaurant for dinner. Our waitress... at the bar (Cassie) and our waitress for dinner (also Cassie) were great! The food was very good and even though the restaurantwas busy, it came out pretty quick. The menu is the perfect size to find something you want that's delicious and not overloadthe kitchen staff. I would recommend Daddy O for anyone who wants a nice night out! Read more
One of the pricier places, but so delicious! Great upscale menu options with fresh ingredients. Sit outside for more casual... experience or inside if you want to be fancier. Good kid menu options. Huge beer/ wine/liquor menu. Try their watermelonmargarita or the cucumber spritzer! Read more
Best on the Island when they have their specials and it’s in stock. Unfortunately we were a large group that they were trying... to keep up with the demand. Food was very good. Inside bar area is very cool, bartenders make great cocktails. It fills up fast.Great rooftop. Read more
We went to Daddy O’s last night for dinner & as usual it was a great experience. We were greeted by very friendly hostesses... and seated right away. They have plenty of people working and do a great job of taking care of you. We had to send mydaughter’s steak salad back because it was a little too rare for her. They were so accommodating and nice about it! Theybrought her out a new salad even larger than the first one & cooked exactly the way she liked it. Can’t say enough about thestaff at this restaurant. We stayed at the hotel for just one night, but really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is tastefully decorated throughout with... excellent touches (fresh cookies up front, complimentary bagels from a local bakery, complimentary Fiji water bottles in theroom). The inside and out of this place is well maintained with almost no signs of wear. The inside of our room was well laidout. The reason for the 4 stars is that the mattress and pillows are terrible. Our mattress had a dip in the middle of it andwas generally low quality. The pillows felt like they were filled with air and a few tissues (joking). I would’ve probablyenjoyed my stay more if I brought my own pillows. I’d definitely consider staying again, but, like I said, I’d bring my ownpillows Read more
