Stopped in Steel Wheel after a classic car group drive to Brantford. Interesting place, nice relaxed vibe and cold beer along... with available pizza. Our group enjoyed our time under the shade of the trees outside. Would be a nice stop for a drink and abit to eat (grab a few for the trunk too). Read more
A great find while traveling the back roads. Stopped in for a beer, and a bite of pizza. Awesome customer service, and the beer... and pizza where fantastic. The hops are even grown out the back. Nice small bar area inside, but I preferred the back area outon the grass under the shade sails and trees. Highly recommended. You won?t be disappointed. Read more
We discovered Steel Wheel Brewery this summer and we are so glad we did! We have been back a few times since. The staff are... friendly, the beer is great especially the Lime Gose and Mango Raspberry Seltzer! Non alcoholic options are available aswell. They have indoor seating, a party room that can be rented as well as a lovely patio featuring wood oven pizza that isoutstanding! They even grow their own hops! We look foward to our next visit! Superb country craft brewery just north of Brantford. Worth the visit and many more. The owners of this fine brew pub also... created an awesome outdoor backyard/patio (in season) overlooking their hops field. The beer is uniformly excellent from sours,ales to lagers and unique experimental beers. Try it you'll like it. Read more
This is an amazingly authentic craft brewery that is dedicated to the art and science of small batch brewing. Very comfortable... and well thought out. They even grow most of their own hops!!! The beer garden is a great place to enjoy the fall weather and sample some of their beer. No food service and flights are not... served outside. We experienced one of joys of outdoor seating. A fly landed in a half drunk glass of beer. The waitress wasquick get rid of the glass but didn't offer to replace the unfinished beer and charged us full price. What an amazing day to check out this super lovely brewery. We ventured here after picking some pumpkins out from down the road.... Lots of parking. It was busy, gorgeous sunny ?summer like? day so the patio was packed but there was a lot of room inside withlots of seating to choose from. We enjoyed our flights as we took in a casual game of dominoes; they had a bunch of board gamesthere to pick from. The couple minding the bar are so pleasant. It was clean & the bathrooms (2) were tidy as well. We picked upa couple of bottles to bring home. We went with a stout & the kettle sour BUT I wished we could home brought home the raspberrysour. SO! GOOD! Situated right outside of Brantford, makes it an easy stop by off Powerline. Read more
The food and beer at Steel Wheel are both superb. I highly recommend going out to see them!
