They Oyster Bar is my favorite place to eat in Brattleboro. The service is impeccable and the food is always amazing. Do not... pass this restaurant up, oysters are not the only thing they have to offer. The main dining room is the perfect destination forwhatever you are looking to eat. They provide a little something amazing for every palate. Read more

From the moment we walked into the resaturant, I knew that we had made an excellent choice. The ambience was wonderful with... bold yet subtle colors on the walls, tables discreetly spaced by 6' with small lamps, with shades providing the perfect lambentlight. When the menu arrived, my inital assurance was justified as the menu was apropos for Phildadlephia. For appetizers, theyoffered tuna tartare, escargots, and duck foie gras. For the main course, they offerd pan seared salmon, duck breast, two typesof steak, and for speacials, lamb and swordfish. Our appetizers and main course were perfect...drinks too. Too full for desert.A+++ Read more

A perfect night out. Emily was a charming and efficient waitress. The food was outstanding. The mussel appetizer should not be... missed. My trout was perfectly cooked with a scrumptious creamy risotto. The vegetables were Al dente. My husband had a pastaspecial that he really enjoyed. Don?t leave without trying at least one of the desserts. Read more

we were a party of four and I was excited to taste the food for the first time and the menu looked delicious and so did the... specials. We had the clam chowder which I was disappointed in. Had a very different taste compared to traditional New Englandclam chowder and the potatoes were too large for the bite. Had the duck breast which was a little chewy and tough in the middleand the gastric was very watery and not a lot of flavor. Would have been better as a glaze or thicker for more concentratedflavor. Mashed potatoes were a little dry and also had the ravioli as an appetizer and I felt there was too much pasta and notenough filling. The salmon was cooked well, sauce was excellent and delicious. The side vegetables lacked seasoning or a sauce. The muscles were cooked well and the flavor was excellent. The oysters were expensive compared to the size and the sauce had avery pronounced vinegar taste. Dined outside and the atmosphere was nice but a mosquito trap would have been nice, we werefrequently bothered by the mosquitoes. The meal was not inexpensive and was not impressed with the overall meal. Read more

Nice dining area, small space and what appears to be limited tables but we made a reservation. Good menu choices, highly... recommended the warm apple tart for dessert. Steak tips were delicious, swordfish and the veal too. Veggies were really tastyand the potatoes too. I was disappointed with the soup, (cream of shrimp?) otherwise we?ll try again. Read more
