OMG, soooo good! Always looking for a new BBQ joint to try when driving through central Texas. LJs was featured in 2021 Top... Texas BBQ by Texas Monthly and happened to be on my route from Austin to Houston. Fortunately, they were both open and not soldout (which is a common issue I have learned when searching for good TX BBQ). I am a huge fan of coarse salt and pepper brisket(moist cut), and LJs did not disappoint! Great bark and super moist, melt in your mouth beef brisket. The owner behind thecounter recommended both the collared greens and mac & cheese as the two sides, and both were super tasty. Oh my, some of, if not the best, bbq I?ve ever had! I do not like Mac & cheese BUT I will eat their brisket Mac and cheese all... day!! Everything is amazing but I?m addicted to the brisket!! Gotta get here early cause they sell out! Everything on the menuis top notch and Matt and the crew top off the superb experience. Worth the drive to Brenham! I had the pork carnitas tacos, YUM! I also got a side of potato salad (which had bacon oh my Yummy) Hubby had 3 meat plate w/... ribs, turkey and brisket. His side were coleslaw and collards. He said the collard greens were real good. But the best thingabout the plate was his brisket. Read more

Nice little bbq place in Brenham. Delicious brisket and sausage plate. Mac and cheese taste like your mamas. Cole slaw was not... bad either. Employees were cordial and helpful. Good stop to make if your going for ice cream at Blue Bell. Read more
We had Brisket, sausage, ribs , turkey, Mac n cheese and potato salad! Everything was so delicious. Brisket was so tender and... the meats were all so flavorful. The Mac n cheese is a little spicy and the best around! Had the banana pudding for the ridehome and I?m sad I didn?t get a bigger serving! The line was out the door but it?s well worth the wait!!
