No wonder this place is on lists for greatest BBQ in Texas!! I live in Richmond and it was definitely worth the short drive! We... went on a Saturday and got there at about 10 and there was literally no line. The line never really got longer than maybe 20people the entire time for the couple hours we were there. Good God when did bbq get more expensive than a steak dinner! Look I am all about a good piece of brisket and Truth BBQ is no... doubt that but it ain't no steak by far. Let me put it this way if I have the option of a steak or a brisket for the same pricethen that brisket better come with a sound stock tip or something because I'm choosing that steak all day long. Seriously whendid a lesser cut of beef get so expensive, and I'm not just saying it about this place but almost all bbq spots now a days.Okay, okay I'm done ranting here, the bbq was great, the sides ridiculously good, and the desert was equally as good. They alsohave free beer available but at the prices can you really call it free? I couldn't drink enough beer before passing out to makeup the price difference. Seriously I could have had two steak dinners for what I paid, goodness and that's why I can't give them5 stars but I far as the food and atmosphere, 5 all day long; great food. Read more
So this place was referred to me by a friend in North East Texas who owns Wright On BBQ in Harleton. We moved to Brenham in May... and let me say I am now kicking my self I. The butt for not eating her sooner. My wife and I got the three meat plate andbrisket boudin. Our sides were Mac and cheese and tatter-tot casserole. The brisket, pulled pork, and turkey was amazing. Allsuper tender, moist, the smoke taste and smell was on point but not overwhelming. ( not that dry " Washington county BBQ " thelocals rave over. ) The side where large and the portions of the meat was pretty healthy. Beat the line, get there on time, open until sold out. You will not be disappointed by their well cooked and delicious BBQ and... sides. Don't forget the awesome homemade condiments (pickels and peppers are top notch). Also suggest getting a bottle of theirgolden sauce, a surprisingly good mustard sauce for Texas! Read more
Had The pleasure of enjoying Truth Barbecue in Brenham Texas ?today! It was an excellent experience and Meal?. The brisket was... amazing and I would rank it in my top three. ?? The sausage was outstanding as well. We also had pork spareribs which weregreat, but definitely not the best I?ve ever had?. Great food. Line out the door on Sunday. Free Lone Stars with your meal too! What's there to complain about? The tater tot... casserole was bomb ???? and the pork rib meat was falling from the bone. Turkey was melt in your mouth. Great flavors! Willreturn on my next outing to Brenham. Read more
