Ordered a breaded fish sandwich. It was bereft of flavor other than the old grease that it was fried in. This place was... suggested to me. I drove all the way from the east side. Very disappointed, so much so, that I went to Eat and park and orderedbreaded cod and the sides from there. Hands down, Eat and Park was much better. Read more
World’s okayest BBQ. I ordered the Big Pig sandwich, baked beans and chili cheese fries. The fries were probably good an hour... before I ate them. They tasted like they had been sitting around all day, and the potatoes were not cleaned thoroughly. Therewas a distinct gritty taste. The beans had no flavor at all. They tasted worse than Busch’s. The sandwich was ok. The meat wascooked well but the little bit of sauce tasted like it came from Costco. The chili was sweet and looked like dog food. I ate twobites and threw the rest away. Some of the best barbeque I've had in Pittsburgh. All the food is so flavorful and pretty affordable. The staff here are also... very friendly and welcoming. Large portion sizes. Lunch special is worth the cost. They just updated menu prices and they haven't fixed the online menu yet.... Absolutely delicious. Friendly staff. Accurate orders. Quick to complete ordered even when they're busy. Negative: they donthave a hold line. It just says they're busy and to call back. It's difficult to get a hold of them sometimes because of it. Meh. Was hopeful as the aroma from the outdoor cookers smelled promising. Ordered the sampler platter. The ribs were... over-cooked, and so was the chicken. Mac & Cheese as a side was flavorful but not very creamy. Excellent potato salad. BBQ saucewas also tasty but, as Franklin from Austin TX says, “Probably because it had to.” Wife had brisket, which was also dry andover-cooked but soaked in so much sauce in an attempt to hide that fact.
