Best birthday weekend in a long time! Great drinks and a great show. Staff was so friendly!
185 has some of the best live music in WNC. I often travel there instead of Asheville, living in Arden NC. On top of the stellar... performers, the room is small for an intimate experience, while the backyard allows you to stretch out with friends or puppieswhile still enjoying the music. As if that weren't enough, the small food menu, produced by a 2 person kitchen, is consistentlyterrific and has options for all eating patterns. The beers brewed on-site are quite good as well. Spruce Tip a favorite ofmine. Add that the staff is warm and welcoming, and I'm not sure how anyone wouldn't love 185 King St! Read more
Good beer and food. Live band Thurs night was great music but too loud. Hard to have a conversation with the person next to me... and we were outside, not that close to stage. We will return though. Enjoyable evening. Read more
Awesome atmosphere great ppl. Wednesday has trivia and karaoke so much fun!! The fries with aolie (not sure how to spell... it????) they are amazing so delicious!! So need to check it out!! Closes at 11pm Read more
Imagine going to your friend's backyard and he opens his garage so you can listen to your favorite band play. Of course, the... next door neighbor is a local brewer and she has made skills. Her hubby ain't too bad in the kitchen either. So you arechilling with your friends, listening to great music, drinking killer beer while devouring the best burger you've had since godknows when. 185 King is that. Read more
We really enjoyed the warmth of the staff and the great music we heard that night. As plant-based eaters, we don't expect to... find menu options suitable to us, but they took the time to explain how their items could be tailored to meet our needs, and wehad a great meal! The bar tender mixed us some fabulous cocktails, as well. The only downside was the terrible parking situationin the Lumber Yard District. But I'd definitely recommend 185 King Street, and we'll definitely make it a regular destination. Read more
This is a great venue. I didn't try the food but I was impressed at the efficiency they were able to pump out orders. The beer... was decent and the staff was friendly and hard working. Their Covid safety practices were exceptional considering they areserving alcohol. I didn't feel like they tried to pack as many people as possible in. They left space for everyone to feelcomfortable. The sound quality was good and the music was more than welcome having not seen a band perform live in so long! Read more
